Can you show what you mean regarding textures moving/dissapearing?
This sounds like Z fighting.
ill try to explain. This happens sometimes when i'm orbiting around a model with the shadows turned on as well. Basically textures(materials), will turn into just a solid color until the orbiting or panning around stops. I suspect it has something to do with memory space....i have an older computer that is soon being replaced.

I think that you didn't get many replies because you just weren't specific enough about exactly what you needed. There are many different ways to get an animation out of SU, tools and plugins that can be used, just depends on what you need for a finished product. What you could do is export a series of jpgs at whatever resolution you need and then stitch those together using some other video editing software. If you use a pc, windows movie maker would do, there's also free programs like Virtual Dub.

thanks ill try that resolution dub as well, i also figured out the resolution issue. When sketchup moves from scene to scene i notice the textures disappear...is that due to my computer not having enough memory capablility?

RE: Creating movie clips
ok....so i'm gonna talk to myself
. I figured out using scenes to create an avi movie clip. Great. Now the issue is if anyone knows how to improve the resolution in the avi clip. It's much rougher for some reason.
thanks

Creating movie clips
I'm sure many of you will roll your eyes when you see my question...i am a newbie thru and thru.
Actually i have been using sktch up for a couple of years now so i'm only a newbie to this forum.Anyways, here's my situation. When i make a rendering in SU I usually export the model as a jpeg and print out different perspectives to present to my customers. I now want to take it to the next level and actually create a movie clip (or whatever its called), where i would record a clip in which i rotate, orbit, around in the model and then can present that to a customer, possibly taking a cd viewer or something like that to my appointments.
How do I achieve this /\ Thank you all in advance
Mike
