I think that is the best that can be done with projection and looks like something carved out of a block of wood (or strongly grained stone). I wonder what it would look like with a quad UV mapping. Another method which is used is to project each side of the object separately. However I could not say how the corner transitions would look. It would probably be hard to get the continuity at the corners you have here.

      Thanks pbacot
yes it is a block of wood, I made it only to see how projection works. I do ike the strong wood grain look in it. Just wondering if it possible to use more then one projection board/screen on an object or would they interfere with each other?

      thanks for your reply

A picture (or a model) will help the forum to help you more specific!

ok i hope this picture works. I raise the projection board up and tilled it down aiming at top of object, picture shows basically how it was projected.

      Hello all, first post here.
I am trying to learn projection of texture onto a for sided object.
i think i may have done the best that can be done, but being a noob, I am not really sure.
was watching tutorials, and they helped a great deal, but I couldn't find one that covered all four sides. Not sure if ok to post a picture here of what i done? any help or links would be helpful.

      thanks gary
