Chris,
Wow, thanks a lot, Chris, for your reply and with the speed of light! This is exactly what I was looking for

Hello all of you out there,
When inserting a block/object or component in an existing sketchup-file (especially in large models)the objects sometimes are not exactly placed on level=0 (Z=0 if you want). Sometimes is just takes too long to precisely put down the inserted object or sketchup reacts too slow, or choses a different snapping point.
Is there a simple way to undo this? Like for instance in Vue-Esprit you have a drop to zero button.
I found this a incredible smart feature . Perhaps a thought for a Ruby-script??
I searched the forum with this question but I can't seem to find an answer. I hope i've been looking in the right direction though......
Thanks in advance,
mdlok
Hello Solo,
Really cool and modern design, really cool rendering!
Your Vue output is perfect.
The reflections in the lower part don't bother me at all.
It adds a nice touch of glossiness!
I also like the swimming pool way in the back. Sort of thing you'd expect with a pricey house like this!
Tiny question: Whats going on in the basement? Is there any program/function in there?

I liked the stark contrast of this vivid eye-sore modern home in a peaceful landscape setting, almost contradictory.
A fast (13 mins) Vue 7 render using standard specular atmosphere, painted ecosystem and rendered to final (medium quality)

Hi Gus R,
Really nice work!
How about the Candy Apple Red finish on the stratocaster? That will be a challenge!
Thumbs up.

This is a possible WIP which provided me with some more practice using SDS and Bool Tools. The main part of the body was done with SDS using tangent lines. Many of the routed areas were done with Bool Tools and the rest with standard SU tools. Mind you this took many hours of drawing and experimentaion.
The body is just 2 iterations since 3 slowed SU to a crawl if not a complete stop. There are some imperfection I might tweak given enought time. Next up is the neck and parts which should be easy after taking on this model.
First image is the SU model. Rendering is KT using the Patrick Nieborg Volume 2 car paints. Uffizi probe as a light probe.

Will the program open and work with existing Autocad drawings?
Yep,
As far as I've tried there is no problem at all using Autocad drawings. Even Autocad drawings with extensions such as Delta Pi are functioning normally!

Hi !
How much after 30 days?
Hi Matt666,
In Holland (and so probably also in France) ZWCad2008i Pro would cost around β¬ 525,- (excl. VAT)
I've discovered that in the evaluation version (after 30 days) you can't save files bigger than 800kB.
Merry Christmas,

Hello all,
Not sure if this is the right place, but:
I came across a nice substitute for Autodesks Autocad.
It's called ZW Cad 2008i and is made in China.
You can download (http://www.zwcad.org/index.html)a trial version here for 30 days, after that some items become limited.
It claims to be compatible at least with Autocad 2007 (after 30 days of evaluating).
The price is also a lot cheaper than Autocad.
It looks about 95% the same as Autocad. So for those that are used to work with Autocad, there is no problem at all. Actually you would think it is Autocad, but with another skin.....
And no, I'm not receiving any commission........
Hmm, this is getting interesting....
I think i'll wait for an offer from IDX Renditioner, maybe I will be able to afford a short vacation this year!
