That's really kind of you to share that model, thank you. I had a bit of a problem with painting it in SU though. Not too sure why but when I paint it with a colour then the model still stays grey. I reckon maybe I have some style setting affecting that though maybe?

I would absolutely love to see a vide on how you create these kinds of things. Organic objects just do my head in at the moment. I'd love to be able to take some household object and just know instinctively which tool / plugin to use to model it with.

Well as mentioned above I wouldn't even know where to start on something like this. Even sometimes when I take a look at what looks like a simple object in my house I just look at it for hours and hours and wonder how something like that would be created.

I'll have to get something and post to see how to make it. I really wish I could just look at an object and see in my mind which tools to use. The main problem is probably that I don't really know what all the plugins do at the moment and so never know the best one to use.

That said, thanks for sharing the chair anyway that's really really kind. Would love to see how you create this sort of thing in SU though. For that matter would just love to know how someone / anyone can take any ordinary everyday object and just know which tools to use to re-create it. Some of the organic shaped things just do my head in as I've just no idea of where to start with them. Any tutorials anyone could point me to would be greatly appreciated.

If so then WOW how on earth did you do that using only the tools you mentioned? I don't suppose you'd be willing to show some steps on how it was done would you.

Thanks. I've finally got the mesh working although sometimes it doesn't always do anything. Probably me being silly or something though.

Off to give some of that a try now.

Here is an example. The mesh on the left doesn't Bevel right. But add a line to break up the hole and it works. Then you can just erase the extra edges.

Sorry for bumping an old thread like this but I just installed this plugin today and was trying to get what you have shown above working but I can't for the life of me get what you have shown in your images in SU.

I made a box then push-pulled another box on top of that and placed in a line like you have shown. When I select all and control click (OSX) on the selected items and choose Bevel it just deselects what I have but doesn't apply any bevel to the objects.

Please could someone let me in on what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry for effectively bumping this post for everyone again but I'm having a real problem getting this plugin to work so was wondering if someone could possibly help?

I tried by creating a simple cube, grouping everything and then running the FFD 2x2 on it. I see the point grid appear but then I'm not too sure what to do. I can't select points easily and when I do all that happens is that the points move but the object doesn't change in any way at all, just the points move

Has anyone ever seen that before and knows what might be causing this?
