I've never compared them Tom, but the PS resampling always been good enough for what I need. I'm not too picky about the degree of resampling either...probably just a philistine.
Paul Miller swears by a particular ratio of reduction, but I can't remember what it is...probably exporting from SU at 1/2 up or double what you need as a final result.
