I am trying to develope a boat hull. All that is available to develop each frame are measurements from a reference point. Having drawn 2 frames how does one get the outer shell to develop as a surface

      Hi Mitcorb
I have done what you suggested prior to reading your reply. I found that the highlighted surfaces are the only ones that are able to be extruded (push/pulled). Maybe I need to draw them as separate entities and see if I can join the 2 pieces together.
I found some fantastic plug-ins created by Fredo, which I hopefully will be able to incorporate on future drawings.

      Hi
      Thanks for the posts.
Yes I am trying to draw parts as if they were bent in a press brake.
The wiki link does not really help as its a wiki.
The sheet metal guy page is great unfortunately for me it is in imperial.
I will look at the page again in more depth

    • Lift off

      Hi
      Yesterday the launch sequence started.
just knocking around I managed to get results from my attempts.
I work with mainly sheet materials, steel, aluminium, wood and plastics of various thicknesses.
I am trying to get new parts drawn out of steel. stumped on how to bend the material in my drawings to a specific "bend line".
Is there anyone who can please point me in the right direction.
