    • RE: Modeling a car

      Thanks Remus,
I think I will go with a cad program. There's a feller down the road a spell that deals in computers. He owes some money so in turn he's going to set me up with a seperate pc with 3d cad installed.
      Thanks again

    • Modeling a car

      Howdy all,
Mac here from Missouri and I'm into building and modifying 1/24/25th plastic model cars into old school drag machines. ie: Altered wheelbase, slicks, open headers, big engines etc.
I downloaded the sketchup 7 freebe. Now what I want to do is model a car on sketchup and then go build my plastic model from the plans. So my question is, Is it possible to do this on here? Or would I have to learn autocad. I've seen a guy do this on Cad tutor but he never finished the project to actually show how it's done. I would like to import a blueprint of say for example 1965 Malibu stock, break it down and modify it into a dragster. Is all this possible? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
      Thanx in advance.
