maybe pull the roof 20mm and then pull the edges out around 50, just to add some more playful shadow and depth, and some guttering to break up the front boards...

Try inserting a global hi res-sky using the sun and sky settings, midday would look good, select spherical sky and then choose the required sky image, should get you going fella

Try the free 'Remove all materials' ruby script from Smustard, which removes all materials from selectd geometry.

Thanks for the comments folks, Totally agree bout the washed out look, I'm not a big fan myself, but you know how it is when the clients there next to ya picking views and asking to drop the contrast back, heres a couple more I'm more happy with, rendered in Kerky
