Hello again!

I'm proud to say that the video is 90% ready. Only one scene left to render which doesn't require animating elements. Only a shot with statue of liberty fallen into the Hudson river and behind it the skyline of NYC destroyed. And about next week the movie will be ready for launching right on YouTube.
Sadly, it will be only a part one for now. I cannot make the battle between army jets and alien ships because as I said before, the trial period of the Keyframe animation has expired and I can't afford to buy a license for it and even with a new trial period I can't make it on time. We're talking about huge scenes where alot of elements requires to be animated. It could take whole weeks.
By now, it will be only the destruction scenes. I'll let you guys to know when the video will be on YouTube.

Hello modelers from all around the world!

I came here today to show you my latest sketchUP project. If you ask me I'll say it's a bit weird but yet an ambitious project.

It is an animation based on Roland Emmerich's INDEPENDENCE DAY movie from 1996. I know, it already starts to sound weird

So far I managed to upload on my YouTube channel the trailer of it which can be seen here: https://youtu.be/yN3IYFCG0Fc

The overall project is like 80% ready. You might wanna ask me about the animation techniques I used in the making of this movie. I used Keyframe Animation from Regular Polygon. It is an awsome, must-have plugin. It's easy to use and the final result is astonishing. But, to my shame, I used the trial version as I couldn't afford to buy it and I had only 10days to finalize the animating sequences. I could do tons of animating sequences but unfortunately I couldn't do more in such a limited time. Anyway I think I've done enough for this time.
Besides the plugin, I used the compositing technique to obtain optimized but yet complex shots. Right now I'm in the middle of editing and when I'm done, I'll post some pictures too.

Wow! This animation plugin rules. Is the best plugin ever released by someone for SketchUP Make. Also, if you don't mind I would like to see by myself how this baby works so... I can be the Rat Lab

I can't find the post where I wrote "enyoy" but if I did, sorry.I ment to say ENJOY.
Now, I don't want to get me wrong but I want you to enjoy the video and the pictures, to review them if they are quite accurate or not. I'm not dissrespect the people who died on the ship. I know everybody knows the history of Titanic. I want to show you the 3D models, my work and other people contribution to this movie. I'm not here to present you the Story of it.
If you look close to the end of the movie,you will see I wrote the name of the models and their owners. I wrote the software names that i used. No plugins were used during the filmmaking. I will post a 'making of' right after the extended version is ready. In the extended version were used plugins but that will be wrote in credits at its time. I suggest you to watch my YouTube channel for more informations. Also, I figured it out with the people's clothing.
I dont know if your last sentence from the comment have a good or bad intention but my english isn't very advanced. I live in Romania and i am in 12th grade so I have much more to learn.

Update: The animation of Titanic is on the way!I added some new scenes and I remaked some of them. I just finished the rendering with a friend of mine and untill this week-end, I will start the Editing stage! The clip will be ready at the end of April!

Also you can add a map on a wall, a board with cosmic bodies or a board with human components to make it more like a class room. That depends on what kind of class room is it. P.S: Try to reduce the focus. The corners of the image are way too blurry. Reduce the number of the lights on the ceiling and the focus and you will have a perfect image! Cheers!

Pretty cool. Can you make it more detailed? Maybe you could add some students in there.

I don' see the need of thumbnails in WIP section.A good title can tell you what is going on inside the topic. Also there are few topics without images, only the discution between users.What kind of thumbnail should be??

I created this topic for a reason: I need help. I need help with my movie that I was talked about in the previous topic, Titanic. It looks like my friend has stuck with animating the ship because of the large model.Sketchyphysics shuts down and there's no way to play the animation. Does anyone know any software for animation?I've tried Simfonia but it didn't show me the full toolbar.Also, the KEYFRAME plugin won't work. It says that the trial period expired and I never used it.Is someone who wants to help me? I'll send to him/her the necesary resources. All I need is a 40seconds animation of sinking Titanic from 5 angles. Please I really want to make this movie because it's my dream. Please!!

Thank you! Here is my model! I haven't created them, only edited! Leo is made from parts: The head from a model, the legs from another one etc. I have edited the hands of Kate to make them to stai orizontaly. It is not very accurate but, I think it's fine! What do you think?
