Firstly, sorry for the desperate (and uninformative) title of my original post!
I will get better!
Thank you very much for this awesome online resource and assistance.
I have attached my efforts. Not perfect, but I've learned heaps from the process!
Regards,
Colin.

RE: Help creating curved lounger
Thank you very much for the help. I can't get component stringer to open at the moment for some reason but I'm sure that once I do, it'll be the answer I'm looking for.

Help creating curved lounger
I am using Sketchup 8 pro (badly!) and the issue I need desperate help with is that I have to help a group of students to draw their laminated (pretty organically shaped) slatted chairs.
I can create the curved sides quite accurately including their profile shape using the follow me tool, space them appropriately etc.
Then I run into problems because I have to add a number (40 plus) horizontal slats across them to join them. This involves trying to create multiple copies of the slat profile on one curved side so that I can then push / pull them across to the other, and I don't know of a simple way to do that?
Imagine the side rail is 'human reclined' shaped; it curves up, down, then up and slightly back down again, a bit like a 'chaise lounge?'
I only hope this makes sense to somebody out there??
Thanks,
Colin.
This is not the actual item but hopefully you'll get the gist of the issue?

Curviloft and curvemaker.
Drawing parabola for use with curviloft?
Curviloft doesn't work with the parabolas I construct with curvemaker?
Any suggestions would be welcomed?

RE: Hi to all the Sketchup experts out there!
Hi Dave,
Yes, did those things first, never mind - at the third attempt to install, all now appears to be well and working. I can't wait to get started now!
Thanks for the help!

RE: Hi to all the Sketchup experts out there!
Thanks for that Dave, much appreciated!
It looks as though I've got more to learn than I thought because I'm struggling to even get the plugins installed at the moment.
I can see them in my plugins folder but they are not showing under tools in Sketchup?
I have downloaded the curviloft in this instance? Any ideas?
I'm in New Zealand so we tend to see everything upside downCheers,

Hi to all the Sketchup experts out there!
I thought I should just post something as a real 'newbie'. I have only used sketchup for VERY basic drawing to date but I now wish to create some 'organic' 3D shapes that I can convert to machine on my cnc. Namely 'stick bait' surface fishing lures shapes.
I'm excited about using the lofting plugins for this purpose, so if there's any well known pitfalls to avoid please sing out! Thanks, Colin.
