Always good to see SU used in such a meaningful way...I think the ladder stairs are just the coolest thing...never seen it done that way before. Thanks for sharing.

You don't see too many of them these days.

That stair with the circular landing - fantastic!

Wow... what a crazy scene! That cat on the left near the window is killing me 🀣! I prefer that saturated one this time around because the others start to look bland IMO...

I feel as if I'm watching "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" all over again!

I was thinking the same thing!

      Great work as always, Tom!

Absolutely fantastic render and an extremely nice project! I, too, especially love the "sheets."

If your interested, it was the brick texture on the back wall that gave it away for me, bricks are too big compared to the rest of the scene πŸ‘

Same here. Looks AWESOME though. Makes me miss building models - one of my favorite things when I was in college.

That would be nice kwik, that one would fit right into some of my Deck Scenes. Tell Alan I said hi and really miss his posts.

I uploaded them to the new forum.

Is the Kid one that Alan posted on the old forums? If so I'd like to get my hands on it if it isn't one of the ones you need to subscribe for. I'd like to see the other ones too when you get home πŸ˜„

Indeed, the little kid was from the old ones. I don't know if it's still considered free though. Let me see if I can contact Allen about it- if it's ok, I'll send it to you.

I'll definitely get the other ones to you though!

That's a nice little corner pergola Kwick.

say, where'd you get the people (especially the guy sitting with his arms over the railing), are those some of Alan's people?

That's a massive comment coming from you, thanks!

The kid is, I believe, one of Allan's from years ago. The pink shirt and white shirt talking I found on the old SketchUp forums a few years ago- I believe the name of the model is "Crocket and Tubs"- don't know who made them though.

Yhe other two people, however, are standard Google SketchUp models that I colored in. If I remember, I'll upload them when I get home later.

Your deck needs a roof, so you can sit outside if it rains. :esmile:
Lol don't have much experience with those typical american decks. Don't know why they use them in the first place. Why don't they just sit in their garden?

Gardens???? Most Americans don't have gardens. πŸ˜„

And decks? Mostly to barbeque on and eat on. We are a silly people. πŸ˜„

    • A deck in Little Silver, NJ

I designed this deck for a neighbor of my Aunt and Uncle. They were so adamant about a trellis or pergola of some sort. Guess what? The finished deck doesn't have one. Silly clients!

I need to model the deck for the two houses next door. Design one deck, design them all- three houses in a row asked me to do work for them. πŸ˜„
