has anyone created a set of "custom" standard tools that could be used within other tools?
It really seems silly that we can't activate a standard tool and then get back to the custom tool.

Hi,
Suppose I want to create a tool, that does a combination of things (select a bunch of things, make a component, move them, etc)
can I activate tools as sub-tools? Say, use select to have the user select a bunch of objects, and on return, use move to let the user move them, then on return, use another tool to let the user do something else?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'd like to be able to create a list of connected items. Such as (see image):
"Box A" is Connected to "Line 1"
"Line 1" is connected to "Box A" and "Box B"
"Box B" is connected to "Line 1" and "Line 2"
"Line 2" is connected to "Box B" and "Box C"
"Box C" is Connected to "Line 2"
Any idea how to create a plugin that could give a list of connected simple items?
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I have tried the slicer on a simple block, and only requested a few slices, but sketckup crashes completely and closes after it asks whether to add numbers to the slices. Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks.
Hi,
I'm interested in using the slicer plugin. I'm using the trial version of Sketchup Pro 7.1, and have downloaded Slicer31.rb. Whenever I try to use the plugin, Sketchup crashes. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello,
I would like to know how to show only a thin section of my model in layout. I am working on a timber frame building and need to show each "bent"
When I take a standard sketchup section and show it in Layout view, all bents behind the current bent are also shown, and there is no way to tell what is included. I could create separate layers for each bent, or hide the geometry behind, but it would be best to just be able to take and display a "slice" of the model.
Thanks!
Karen
