It's not that difficult. One baseball game and Bob's your uncle.
On the other hand, have fun painting.

      Thank you!!!

Took me hours yesterday to only fix the small edges on the roof... I will try to improve my skills, promised πŸ˜‰

Friends of mine will get married on Friday in this building (the town hall of Aachen, Germany). I want to print and illuminate the building like I did with the cathedral, see above, as a present for them.

      Again: Thanks!

      Best regards

    • RE: How to make object solid?

      Hi experts,

this time I need to print this one:
      http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=cb0b1138ce7f263e90cdb0d1a06b1e4e

I need to make it solid first. After trying for several hours you see me begging for help... I am too stupid for the 3rd dimension. Or at least for sketchup πŸ˜‰

Solid Inspector complains about nearly everything and I am not able to fix these issues... Any help is appreciated!

      Best regards

Ooops, I had trouble with the upload.
I'm not used to this forum setup just yet.
This model is a little more complete.

      Hi Dave,

Not difficult at all. You'll need to repaint it.

Your faces are all reversed and need to be corrected. I'm curious about how you drew the shape so that the faces weren't all attached to the roof.

I copied the roof over, deleted the extra edges, traced an edge to make a face on the bottom of the roof and used Push/Pull to put it down to match the height of yours. Then I corrected the face orientation.

thank you for your answer. I did not construct it on my own. The object for my last message is only one piece of this one:

Any idea how to do the same for that one without reconstructing it completely?

      Best regards

    • How to make object solid?

      Hi!

I am new to sketchup and I am trying to construct object to be printed with my Makerbot Replicator 2...

I found an object on the sketchup gallery. This object is built from edges and faces that are not all linked together making it non solid. Question is: how to change that as easy as possible?

Please find an example part of it here:

      Any help is appreciated!

      Best regards
