Hmm, I still get just a color! I right click on the surface where I have the image and then select explode!?

I made a simple wall(please look at the image) that is 1000 mm high and then I used soften/smooth edges to get the shape more soft, but despite that it's soft in sketchup, the renderings with Maxwell isn't soft, it's just as it was before I used the soften/smooth edges function. Why this and is there a way to improve this?

Perhaps there need to be more edges and and get a soft surface with turbo smooth like in 3ds max to get this kind of soft shapes with Maxwell? The soften/smooth in sketchup is perhaps a little bit "fake" and just looking nice in sketchup?

Another annoying thing while I'm writing is when I'm highlighting a object, it so slow and not respond to how fast I move the cursor and my computer isn't slow! In sketchup 7, I didn't had this problem. It's feel like it's animated in some way!? Is there a way to change this?

I import an image from File -> Import... and select use as texture. I use an image as a "screen" on a TV or a computer. I also use images this way to put on facades, but I don't understand why they are not visible when I render?

When I use a imported texture of an image on a surface, I only get the color of the textures on the surface. If I'm using a wood image for a texture, I get a brown wood color instead when I render it with Maxwell Render. In Sketchup it looks fine. I want to see the real wood image in the scen. How can I solve this problem? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I have attached an image from a test render to show the white dots. I use plastic material and the blue color is RGB: 137 184 221 and the ground is grey. I'm not using any emitters. Any more tips how to come around this or is this what i get with the free version of Maxwell Render? Thanks!

I get small white dots like dead pixels on the screen when I render with the free Maxwell Render! I have tried to change all kinds of settings, but I can't get rid of them!

I use physical sky with sun and I have set the SL settings for the rendering to 17!? Preciate some help to improve my renderings! Thanks!

I'm using Sketchup and the free Maxwell Render and every time when I'm trying to use a downloaded MXM material, Sketchup crash and closing down! It happens right after I click on the Fire icon to render the scene. What could be wrong and how can I solve this?

Thanks for the reply! I have just discovered the free Maxwell Render and I have just looked at some of Jasons videos. But I'm note sure is any of them is about lights. I have to check them later. Where do I find the IES lightsources?

Is sun the only source of light in the free version of Maxwell Render? Isn't there any spotlights or similar for interior rendering?
