Great work, Miguel!
Lumion3D is such a wonderful software for architectural vizualisation, isn't it?
I wish I could have more time to play with it.
Have a good day!

Hello everyone,
I hope you had a great weekend.
I forgot to mention that I have started another contract with Electronic Arts/Maxis, the people behind Simcity.
Indeed, a few weeks ago I got an email from the Development Director with whom I worked on Simcity 5, who said they needed my help with concepting architecture for their next project and offered the job.
It is an unannounced game, and due to Non-Disclosure-Agreement, I cannot say anything yet. But I have been working on it for the past two weeks and I am quite excited about it.
I hope to show some Sketchup models/Renders in the near future.

Here's the link http://www.tgi3d.com/
Please let me know if you have questions.

TGI 3D also has some cool tools.
Ah, somehow I did not see your post. You beat me to it, Rich.

Hi Drew,
First, the title of your post kind of confused me. I thought I'd see concept art of Pacific Rim by Alex Jaeger.
So I guess your concept is inspired by Jaeger's robot concept. I like it. Nicely modeled. On suggestion if I may, is to erase some of the Sketchup lines that are not needed unless it is done on purpose (e.g. the center lines of the body or legs). Usually, I like to keep the outlines and have them thicker, but erase some of the inside and have them thinner. But it is just one of the many techniques. Just do whatever works for you.
As for your question about organic modeling plugin, like Pete said, it would be nice to know what kind of organic shapes you want to achieve. And by "organic", I am suppose you are referring to any objects with curved shapes.
TIG's Extrusion Tools plugins are free. Extrude Edges by Rail is one of my favorite plugins to create any kind of organic shapes. They are just tools/plugins. It is a matter of knowing how to use them to achieve some specific shapes.
If you don't mind I have posted a sample below. This futuristic car was modeled with basic tools set, TIG's Extrusion plugin and Fredo's Tools on Surface.
I also use TGI3D lately for creating organic meshes. It is a wonderful plugin. It is probably the most expensive plugin though, but it comes with lots of useful functions.
As I have mentioned in one of my posts, I do have Artisan, but never really had the chance to use it a lot. But is certainly one of the best plugins for organic modeling.
But keep in mind, that you won't find one plugin that will help you do everything. In my experience, it is a combination of basic tools and different plugins to achieve some nice organic shapes.
Anyway, I hope this helps.
Have a great week and happy organic modeling!

Hi guys,
I have posted this one a few months ago, but the image was really low rez due to Non-Disclosure-Agreement when Simcity was not shipped yet.
So here's a larger size.
Have a great day!

Very nice model, Mike.
Are you planning on texturing it?
I look forward to seeing the final model.
Have a great week!

For this Copter you use Artisan , Subdivide and Smooth or other... for the subdivision faces?
**>> Bonjour Pilou. I am mainly using TIG's set of extrusion tools (Extrude Edges by Rails, etc.). I have been using the Create Mesh from Tgi3D for lots of my organic models lately. I do have Artisan. It is a great plugin, but I somehow don't have the chance to use it a lot.
Have a great day!

@ CoreMaster110: Thanks for your kind "comment, Karl.
Hi guys,
I have not posted some Simcity concepts for a while.
So here they are.
For those who play Simcity, you know you have many options for one building style.
As an example, below I have 3 different designs for the "Chicago Style" buildings.
And here is a strip mall.
Have a great weekend!

Very cool design, Hector.
I see a lot of this type of houses around here.
I'd love to see what the interior is like.
Was it done for fun or was it a real project?
Best,
