Open command prompt
cd to your SU 6 install dir.
Look for ThumbsUp.dll
run-
regsvr32 ThumbsUp.dll
You probably installed SU 5 after SU 6 and then the v5 ThumbsUp.dll got registered.

Why would I need to update the graphics card on a brand new computer? Shouldnt the graphic cards it came with work?
The drivers I meant
Sorry, I guess I am just a computer idiot, but why would the drivers need to be updated on a brand new computer?
Because the drivers MS ships with Windows don't support OpenGL.
I think this will be in the next release...
The beta isn't out yet... I just tested your doc and the arrows exported
correctly.
We have fixed a transform bug in PDF export that hopefully fixes the flipping problem.
Are you signed up for the SU or LO beta team?
Also check the layers you have the entities on. "Arrange" only arranges on a layer.
You'll have to look at your layer inspector to see if the image is on a layer
on top of your text that's on a lower layer.
I agree that you should try creating a "Scene" in SU and selecting it in LO.
Let us know if that works.
To get LO to render what SU is rendering, create a Scene in SU and select the Scene in LO.
In LO Preferences->Folders, do you have
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Google\Google SketchUp 6\LayOut\Templates
in the list of dirs to look for templates?

SU on Windows doesn't use HW GL...
SU does of course use OGL under Windows also, what else
I should rephrase, Win SU does not use hardware OpenGL for image export, it uses Windows software OpenGL. It only uses HW GL for screen display when HW GL is selected.

Yes, it is okay after disabled opengl acceleration. Thank you very very much.
Are you on a Mac? SU on Windows doesn't use HW GL, so it
should not matter if you turn on/off HW GL.
Image res is limited by memory. SU doesn't use HW for export, so the graphics card doesn't matter.
cd to the same dir as sketchup.exe.
Run-
regsvr32 ThumbsUp.dll
It should say succeeded.
If not, I seem to recall that since the dll is not 64-bit, it won't work in 64-bit Vista.
It may be running on different CPUs, but not at the same time.
Nobody could explain why it kept coming out as a set of several lettersize sheets.
I had the same problem. I had to set the paper size in LO and then when printing
I also had to set the paper size in the printer dialog.
There will be another version of LO. No release date or functionality can
be discussed because things can change all the way up to the release date.
Its supposed to open between platforms. Can you post here or send
the file to me? You can send me a private message if you want and
I'll send my real e-mail address.
I have logged a bug.
Thanks for reporting it. We would like to hear about
any problems you guys are having.
