by the looks of it the circle/arc segments are quite high... u must have beefed them up before drawing??
as long as these arent gonna be rendered.. i think the default segments will work just fine!

i opted for the new Geforce 8800 GTX... at the moment i think it has the best price to performance ratio... u could save the extra bucks to get more ram power or more processing power per CPU..

which render preset are u using??? try to use Photonmap medium + aa 0.3 preset.
lower presets can cause light leaks like the ones u showed here...
also try using the path tracing progressive preset if ur using just the physical sky.. takes longer time to render though.. i would suggest it only for the final images.
