these are not bad atall.. rendering is a skill which u can easily master provided u are patient enough and observant.
the first thing i noticed in ur rendering is the lack of a background.. i would suggest to use physical sky ( i am assuming u are using vray for SU? ) or u can just use a nice sky image in the background (photoshopped).
regarding materials.. boy! thats hard actually.. u gotta scout the internet for lots of nice textures and if ur lucky enough u get seamless ones or u can make them seamless...
regarding bumps and displacemnts.. they are actually either black n white images or greyscale images of ur main texture maps. try to search for "crazy bump" on google.. many ppl swear by it for creating normal and displacement maps.
if u scout this forum, there are lots of resources for free textures and such..

we can already dolly in SU by holding down ctrl and orbiting.
and like nomer said.. sometimes getting wide angle shots by moving too close to the wall is a pain! so i would totally love to get virtual-cam components!

that would be really handy... kinda like the 3dsmax cameras.... though i cant immediately think of any use here since SU doesnt support object animation....

Hi guys,
I am facing a problem. (i am sure u did too once.. )
SHIFT+M(iddle) M(ouse) B(button) = Pan in SketchUp , while
SHIFT+MMB = Chaos in AUTOCAD (3dOrbit in Autocad) .
SO, anyone else feeling the pain i am goin thru when using the two progams simulatneously? i keep on orbiting my huge 2d plans in autocad. I certainly dont want to change how this works in SU.. but i would certainly want to "SWITCH OFF" this function in ACAD. anyone got any ideas how one would go about doing this????

Initally, the finish was supposed to be plain stucco with grooves.. later on they decided to go with stone cladding.. well i was in a kind of rush and couldnt wait to reimport the model again without those grooves.. but u spotted it well! thanks once again!
