Digging the change in roof texture
Ah yes Rich, the texture is different as i used Galvenise sheeting instead of the slats on the bigger barn, i need to change the texture on the bigger barn still as you suggested, just being busy wrapping your present for christmas,

iichiversii,
Are you under NDA on the name of the game or the developer? If so it's ok, I just had to ask. My students will ask, so...
You've done a great job on adding age and damage to the barn and it looks like it was done very economically, time and polygon wise, also.
Great work!
Lloyd
No thats not me,lol, like i said i had to build it up as if new and then studied pictures of old barns to see the effect time had on the Timber, metal, beams, and so on, glad you liked it and yes its very low Poly, Bigger barn too about 2 days to do right and the second took a day

The renders look great. Nice old model too.
I am interested as to how you did the bent planks. They look very irregular.
Ok heres a diagram exlaining how i do it, hope this explains it all for you, if anyone has a better or faster way i would like to see it, let me know if this helps

RE: Scifi Sketchup Modeling

RE: Scifi Sketchup Modeling
I have being viewing your work alot lately Liam, very impressive work, i noticed also you work on game projects also on whisper studios, great detail, im curious to know do you import these models directly into a game engine? Iv only recently started helping out an independent game developer team on creating models, you can view my old barn concept in the WIP FORUM. Any tips would be great in this line of work
