I am using sketchup 8 pro. I am working on a large model of an area. (61mb) When ever I try and remove groups after a certain stage sketchup will crash, When trying to export an overhead view as a autocad file sketchup will also crash. Im currently trying to remove all materials of the model (with smustard) and it looks like sketchup is going to crash again. I've just upgraded today from a q6600 + 4gb ddr2 to a i5 2500k and 8gb ddr3 and I have had no improvement. Can anyone recommend anything fixes?

Hi there,

I would like to create a hole in a wall of a building i have created in sketchup.
The walls of the building are made up of 9 different layers so are quite complex.
Ideally i would like to be able to resize the shape of the section plane tool so that it doesn't take into account the whole face of my building and only a specific area so that i can remove part of the wall to provide a view into my building with out loosing the whole wall section on that face of the building.

Does anyone have any advice on how i can do this?
