Hi folks. Another possibility is to search for a picture of books on a book shelf and then to paste in on a surface slightly recessed in the front of the actual shelves of the model. If no suitable picture is available and you have a digital camera, why not take a picture of an actual array of books and paste that. Not only will it look pretty, it may also save on file size. Just ideas.

I would suggest going to this address: http://sketchup.google.com/intl/en/training/videos.html Try spending a few minutes watching at least the basic video tutorials to grasp how SketchUp (SU) works and what it can do. Investing a few more minutes or hours to watch the whole serie is not a bad idea either. Searching YouTube for more SU tutorials is another possibility. By the way, it is very easy to access this page and many others from the Help menu of SU. It is probably the most overlooked menu item of this software. If, after that, you are still puzzled on how to draw a bed, post back here and I am pretty sure that someone will make a short tutorial to get you started. Just ideas.
