Make a book. Turn it into a component. copy the book. scale the book height-wise and thick-wise to give variety. move next to each other.

Short of me doing it for you (which won't happen), that is how I'd do it.

          Hi GD,

There are a couple of book models here:
          http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=17152&p=136393&hilit=book#p136393

I have seen more in the 3D Warehouse:
          http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?q=book&styp=m&btnG=Search

Download whole "shelf-full" of books in a row and adjust them to your needs (if you like some there, maybe even rate them and throw a "thank you..." πŸ˜‰ )

          Gai...

            Hi folks.

Another possibility is to search for a picture of books on a book shelf and then to paste in on a surface slightly recessed in the front of the actual shelves of the model. If no suitable picture is available and you have a digital camera, why not take a picture of an actual array of books and paste that. Not only will it look pretty, it may also save on file size.

            Just ideas.
