I prefer number 3, I do like the fuzzyness

Actually no, with the current state of damage, and available support and tension, the roadway would pull up.
I'm going with his opinion.
Besides that, these are masterpieces, especially the bridge kept my breath saved for a bit longer

RE: Interiors Renders...Update
This is looking great, fantastic work man!
About the parsing time, I can confirm they've worked very hard on it, actually it's even better then the first version,
also groups in groups work and if I'm right you should be able to use images without exploding them tooCheers, and keep up the great work!

Uniform monochromatic should be fine. Is there any dithering option in vray? Or use a texture for walls not just a plain colour.
Thank you, I don't know anything about it although maybe a very subtle/soft bump on the walls would be good? They do have a noise option in the material editor

RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
Dacht eerst van New York i.v.m. al dat gallerij'en in NY gedoe@ michaliszissiou, Now that explains a lot! I've never had the idea it would be like that, thanks a lot for pointing that out!

RE: Interior scene (Vfsu Mac) Update 12/01/10
@ olishea and michaliszissiou, thanks for the comments! I'll see what I can do with the noise, btw, should it best be chromatic (black and white) or normal noise? I haven't tried
this before. (It's my first commercial project in Vray, previously I used Kerkythea's unbiased methods, which really didn't require adding extra noise)
The carpet I'll keep it as is, I wanted to have a hairy carpet, it's looking somewhat sharp.. but okay..@ Rick, Yes.. now you say so.. seems like I forgot to fill the gap
Mind the gap!
Oh yes there is a HVAC, it's incorporated in the curtain which improves the airflow a lot!
Made in Vray beta for Mac in about 3 hours (I made my settings much higher then needed I think.. xD )@ KXI System, thank you! This is apreciated
@ DacaD, Your critics are welcome to me as long as you keep them formal instead of blaming hehe, good point
on the leather though, I've been trying a lot, until now this was unfortunately the best I could get but I'll tweak
it some more! -
RE: Interior scene (Vfsu Mac) Update 12/01/10
Here's he first final image! (other were somewhat pre-final)
Cheers!

ok mate
. (this is completely a personal question, not a propaganda, mate )I love KT, free and somehow easy to learn, unbiased and biased support presets, lots of free materials and (confusing
but) verry friendly and helpful forum ( I learned every thing by asking my questions there
) ,BTW it is someone's choice to try those $$$ render engines, there are lots of them and all of the are progressing,... maybe you also njoy TWi, (commercial version of KT in fact) easy to use ,accurate , user friendly and good support and reasonable price, also ( it is a personal question) I like the v-ray moode, and,... maxwell is a bit confusing for me ( I played it a bit, like fry-render...)
Hehe thanks Majid, I might not have been clear enough but I've been using Kerkythea for 2 years (a little less maybe)
I've been very happy about the program so far but I want to expand some programs with more capabilities.
I've heard many good things from Twilight but I'm still waiting for the Mac version to come out, besides that I also
like the Vray moode, sometimes it's a bit of a long way to set things right, but once you've got you won't forget
Also tried Maxwell, nothing for me, also heard that they have such a bad support made me take a step back.
Currently I'm taking Vue for a rough test and I'm really impressed by it's ease of use, the only lack again is the support
and it crashes well, a tad to frequently, but that might have something to do with the personal learning edition (you can't update
it with patches and fixes)Afterwards I'll still test Thea for sure and maybe Podium, but currently Vray (for interiors) and Vue (for exteriors) are the 2 winners for me!

RE: KERKYTHEA problem
Your welcome
@ majid, interesting, I never tried preset 17, I might try it sometime if I would ever use KT again...
Currently I'm ltesting other (commercial and better) render apps to see the ups and downs of each app. -
RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
Nope, oh well, yes, actually I would call it bloom-effect, but that's more particular in the game development 'world'.
How about rendering times in this new engine?
Btw, could you let me know something about the pm, just so I know an answer and I can move on, I can understand
you might feel like it's risky or that you don't have any need of it -
RE: Funeral Home, Brasil [Podium render] - updated Dec 15
Looking great Edson, I like the design of the building as well, I'm looking forward to more renders!
Also, to give you my opinion about your question, I'm not feeling uncomfortable at all that it may be a funeral home
for posting comments, I actually think it's something quite interesting because you don't see that everyday. But I'm just a bit on the 'take it easy' side, I might visit a topic 3 times with great work in it before posting..
But besides everything, still great work! I might take a look at Podium in the near future, especially with version 2 coming out soon.
Cheers ;D

RE: KERKYTHEA problem
You could try using a higher preset, I recommend you to use #19 MLT, it takes long but it's worth the time

RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
That's cool, I like the gloomy effect of this very much! PP or straight output? Although I'm seeing some colour waves, and that's a real down point for me
in render apps, I'm experiencing the same in Vfsu a lot. -
RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
Ok thanks to let me know.
Ps; I've just sent you a PM

RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
Oh my bad, I was saying that you made nice work on the software, and second I was wondering if you might give the website a new
appearance because of the new Podium version -
RE: Interior scene (Vfsu Mac) Update 12/01/10
Okay no problem, I was just very curious about it as I heard so many good things but haven't been able to test it out yet
I guess I'll wait then till somewhere around February! Thanks for info
-
RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
It's very nice you all managed that then, what I was just wondering, are there any plans on a refreshed website?
Cheers!
-
RE: Quick and Dirty WIP...very raw + V2
Sure it's awesome, the crispness can be compared to higher end renderers like Vray and such, looking forward to test the trial, as I don't have any key
Great work on the software anyways!
