@fredo6 This solution doesn't work for palettes. If you previously had a palettes opened on a second monitor (or on the right edge of a monitor with a bigger resolution than the current one - which was my case.!), then that palettes is lost (even with the option "Reset Workspace" from SU Preferences).
The only way I could bring it back was with Dan Rathbun extension "Dialog Cascader" (and maybe it could also worked with Flex Tools "Lost and Found Windows".

@Mike-Backman This happens with other few programs (but mostly with Sketchup and Sketchup extensions) when you have set different DPi (other than the native one for each monitor) for one or more monitors.
Sometimes, windows by default sets arbitrary DPi different than the native one of your monitor.
You just have to check and manually choose the default DPi.

@fredo6 I don't know what is the problem, but even with 2.4a SU 2022 is not usable, with 2.4a it just doesn't freeze my os anymore, but SU 2022 it is still mostly unusable, the only way to make it usable is to disable LOTT completely.

Since I wrote that everything is alright I haven't used it, I just left it there, opened in background, to understand now that I cant use it... if I don't disable LOTT.

I will try what you suggested...!

@FlorinAp Sorry, i was a bit irritated after so many wasted hours, and I missed telling you something - everything was starting as soon as I would approach my mouse to any palette, if you wouldn't touch the palette... everything was fine.

Although SU 2022 would load very late and very slowly because of the vignette, but after that you are not allowed to touch any pallette; but if I disbaled the LOTT completely, SU would also load very fine and fast.

@FlorinAp All these incompatibility issues between SU 2022 and W10-W11 have disappeared starting with SU 2023, and maybe at some point not everything can be compatible with everything... i understand that, but it is fair that at that point every developer should mention in its release notes where the compatibility ends.

@fredo6 They already were in the latest version (otherwise I wouldn't come here to write).
There was no "one single" bug - SU and the entire OS were almost frozen, you had to wait for a few minutes before you had any access to SU and also to the OS (W 11)... for about 1-2 minutes, and then the same cycle... (flashing and freezing... and couldn't use no other app).

Experience (a lot of it) and intuition finally drove me to LOTT - and I made no other changes in my PC other than downgrade LOTT (LibFredo seems to be fine at the second to last version) - It has been a few hours and everything is alright (I mean as much as it can it can be after W7).

This kind of problem started on many levels with SU (and its plugins) only after W7, but unfortunately, we are not in the driver's seat... and we have to move forward, everything was flawless but starting with W10... many headaches for users and developers, concerning many other software.

After version 2.4a there is a very big compatibility issue with SU 2022 (and maybe also with previous SU versions.!), that makes SU barely usable - I've spent 6-8 hours trying to understand what the hell is wrong with my SU...
Now maybe I would have to pair it with a LibFredo version..., but today I've spent my energy reserves.
Sometimes (rarely) I use SU 2022, for compatibility with other plugins or for printing options that have disappeared starting with SU 2023.
Anyway, a bug (any bug.!!) in LOTT affects the SU engine, so you have the choice to use it or throw it away completely.

Please, if it is possible, to make the Layport names longer (with much more characters).!

This one doesn't work - everything seems to be fine, but at a later time, when I open the model (second or third time...), I'm able to delete all the guides, although Fredo Guides report them (and show them) as being locked.
Tried and tested in SU 2022, 2023, and 2024.!

This extension is one and only, but until it is fixed I'm using EA Locked Guide, which works pretty well, but is infinitely simpler than Fredo Guides.

@fredo6 This one has at least one bug - doesn't allow Lord of the Toolbars to add/remove icons, neither in the toolbars and neither in palettes.!

Guys, this tool is exceptional, yet (instead of complaining about it), you should give yourself the chance to try at least for 3 weeks a Space Mouse (or 3D Mouse) from 3D Connexion.
No opinion from YouTube (or from yourself) doesn't weigh as much as 3 weeks of day-to-day use of this device - 3 weeks is the minimum your brain needs to understand and use this device, and after that, you will ask yourself how could you ever work without it, and you will never work without it (i have 3 of them).
This device is priceless.!

@TIG Maybe somebody can do something about it, because right now we have no option to convert construction lines to edges (the reverse it is possible, at least with Curvizard).
I know only one option (DBur Guide Tools) but it can do only one line at a time....

@TIG Yes, i know that, and I've seen it, but so far nothing bad if you try and manipulate them locally, without changing the geometry (change the properties or colors of the edges and faces, delete them, and sometimes even replace them with TT Component Replacer which also can manipulate groups - you copy in one context the new sample, select all those that you're interested in, and replace, then delete the sample..., this one from TT works across contexts because it doesn't change the geometry and doesn't care about groups and components, it recognizes the bounding boxes and works in those boundaries).

@TIG This ruby has the purpose of recognizing and selecting all the instances of components (even if there are one or more that have been made unique) - it just recognizes all the instances (unique and not unique), that is why it is called "families".

So all the options that appear in its submenu, apply to selected components even if there is at least one that has been made unique.

What I do with the selection... it is up to me after that.
