Ok then

Here is a copy of my sketchup file. I have used layers and set up some scenes. Another problem I have just discovered is that if I set a scene up with dimensions on it they suddenly dissapear from all the scenes I have made if I remove them from the main drawing to make a scene with no dimensions?
I don't get the viewport setup comment. The way I am trying to set the layout is by reducing the drawing layers down to just the window, centering the drawing, editing to a point where I can take a section, take a section slice, revolve it and then send to layout. Where I can create a workshop drawing to be printed off. With all relevant dimensions etc.

I hope you can follow this and I'm sure there is a very simple system to do this. Hope you can help/.

Ok I have the scene I want of a particular window which is grouped within a complete house design. When I try to work within the scene and take a section cut of the window, the section expands to cover the whole house? Which means when I transfer it to layout the section marks are huge so the window ends up tiny in layout.

I would like to use layout to make workshop drawings including plans and section cuts for components in my designs.For example I would like to be able to transfer a 3d picture of a window to layout and also a plan and section of the window and also show where the section cuts are in the layout. When I try to do this by selecting the window component in my sketchup model and transfer to layout option the whole sketchupmodel transfers instead of just the windoe.
Any suggestions of where I could learn how to do this?
