I modified your model. Now the frame pokes all the way through the wall, but still doesn't cut a hole all the way through. See attached GIF. This is the view from inside.

From the outside I can see through the glass and am actualy looking at the outer surface of the inside wall. So it's cutting a hole but only through the outer wall surface not the inner, even though the frame penetrates all the way through.

Okay I figured out what's up. It's to do with how I made the walls.

My first floor will be 8" logs, so I made a shape, extruded, made and inset 8" then deleted the center section. So my wall are 8" thick. But the window will only cut an opening if the plane has no thickness.

I am approaching this wrong somehow.

If I make a wall with no thickness then attaching the window cuts a hole. But even then the window sits on the surface rather then getting embedded in the wall.

But here is the window I'm using as an example.

It's the 24x24 slider window from the 3D warehouse windows collection. I have it set to glue to any and cut opening. I can see through the window as I move it around. It sticks to the wall but it doesn't cut a hole.

Acutaly it shouldn't really stick on the surface but be in the wall itself it seems. I think the problem is not the window but my lack of understanding.

I downloaded a window component, attached it to the wall but it's not transparent. The glass seems to be, but it doesn't make a hole in the wall. Do I need to do that first? Thought that attaching the window would automatically cut a hole in the wall.
      Thanks
