Bush vs Shoe

Why is the Google ad with this thread now: "Arab Women--Hot!" ???
These Google ads are creeping me out- I was just thinking about hot Arabic women!
-
Alan, I just noticed something, we are almost perfectly synchronised- look at our post count!
It's like when women who work together gradually synchronise their monthlies, especially....
...hot arab women.
p.s. I wonder if this contravenes the Google ad sense rules? I'll have to check the rules on my powerful feature-packed Hewlett-Packard laptop while I sit here drinking a refreshing ice cold Coca-Cola.

Unless your initial comment was meant to be ironic, and I didn't get that, nothing was 'lost in translation'. I asked whether you're on acid because of your bizarre assumtion the Iraqi journalist wants to overthrow the principles that protect him. Clearly you're assuming far too much.
Unfortunately, you seem to be so consumed by your hatred of Bush that whatever I say will always be related back to him. The principles that I am speaking of are the ones that all of us who live in Western Society embrace. Freedom of speech and religion, equality for women etc. We take these rights for granted and it occurred to me while I was watching how this thread evolved that while the Iraqi reporter obviously hates Bush and all he stands for, he will probably escape punishment for his action because of the Western principles he deplores.
I wonder if he threw a shoe at a member of the Saudi Royal Family he would fare so well. The point I was trying to make was that neither of us knows whether or not the journalist 'deplores' Western priniples. As I said, you assume far too much. I've posted this link before, and I will post it again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor.
As far as I'm concerned, this concludes our little debate (yours and mine, that is), unless you come up with 100 % watertight proof the forementioned journalist is indeed something of an islamist obscurantist who strongly opposes freedom of speech, equality for women, etc.
As a side note: I find it surprising that when someone points out that you assume too much, you answer by adding another assumption to the mix ("Unfortunately, you seem to be so consumed by your hatred of Bush (...)"). This is higly illogical.

You two do realise that by repeating the words "hot arab women" that you are reinforcing the bias of the ads on this page? And the more you mention hot arab women, the more ads containing the terms hot, or arab, or women will appear. I think it would be a good idea not to mention any of those words...hot or arab or women...any more.

I understood the journalist is/was punished/hurt because Maliki was so close to the incident.
How did you arrived on that one,
I supose Bush is validated, he finally found shoe of mass distruction (size 10 to be precise).

Shame, the aim was a bit too much off. Next time use laser guided shoes.

Just to voice an unpopular opinion, I HATE Bush and his policies, I was against the war in Iraq, and took allot of sh** for it from people. I voted for Obama and I can't wait for him to take over and have Bush go back to kicking tumbleweeds in bumf**k Texas since thats the only thing he is good at. But that being said, he is still my president, still represents my country and as funny as the video is, it still makes me mad that he had two shoes thrown at him...I am glad this guy got beat down for what he did..I was pissed that the secret service let him get the second shoe thrown before they tackled him and put him in a choke hold. Last time I checked, throwing stuff at someone isn't considered an act of free speech. I'm sure there will be statues and shrines set up for this guy all over Iraq, now that he is a hero...as we speak, there is a crappy mural of him being painted on the side of some filthy building. When he dies he can line up for his 100 virgins with all the courageous suicide bombers.

Maybe so Sid....I agree with everything said about how we don't belong there and that we should have never invaded the country in the first place. What can I say other than regardless of who is president I love my country and I for one aren't going to put this guy up on a pedestal no matter how much I dislike Bush. I want nothing more than for every American to be out of that country, which it seems the Iraqis want too.
-
In all honesty no one is putting him on pedestal,,,but have him dead ...hmmm. We had a guy here some years ago throwing egg at John Major(Priminister before Tony Blair). The guy was ordered to pay for cleaning his suit...the end of story.
-
With respect for each others opinions maybe it's time to let this thread die and just enjoy christmas.
-
I never said I wanted him dead...I just said I wasn't too upset that he got beat up...my last line about the 100 virgins i was implying *when *he died now that he is a hero amoung his people..not that I wanted him dead..I would never wish death on anyone...except maybe the mice that keep wandering into my garage when it gets cold!

How did you arrived on that one,
I heard this on TV (can't remember which channel) the day after it happened. I just did a search and couldn't find anything corroborating. So...forget it.

I'll stick to regular espresso for the time being, if you don't mind.
EDIT: I'd never heard of this before! Oh man, the Monty Python boys couldn't have made this one up!

I'm warning you with peace and love...
