here is the progress, I have exported separately branches and foliage, and this time it went well ........... but now the issues are the mapping of the leaves , it is difficult to map them all together, that makes slows or stops SU......the problems are over!

RE: SketchUp+Ivy
thanks a lot! the file shared on the forum, however, its ok also by v-ray! This was to test as SU takes easily small Kb and I have problems with that large and I'm trying a road that seems to be winning: separate branches of the foliage in blender and export separately, I made a first attempt and it seems work very well, I still have some problems with the grows thats are exported in small numbers than original!

RE: SketchUp+Ivy
obj file imported into Blender isn't mapped map, but isdivided into three parts, branches, primary leaves and secondary leaves, obtained by exporting the same division at KT, but this is not a problem because the mapping is then very easily after ; the key issue is that large files do not come in SketchUp; I did a test on a 3DS file of 9 MB and I managed to import it up but then I nn sharing model branches, foliage primary and secondary leaves. This makes it even more difficult the whole issue

SketchUp+Ivy
Hello everyone! I wanted to climb a bit of ivy .... on my model generated in Su using Ivy Generator precisely on time, but seen the same problem: can not import the ivy in SU!
the transactions summarized as follows: after generating my model exported (triangular faces), only the part that interests me to obj format and i generate my son-ivy.
At this point I export the ivy still generated in obj format and, if I try to import it directly in SU by the plugins objimporter, I get a warning .. it will take 16 hours (!!!!!) before entering the 50 Mb in SU !!......... obviously look and decided to import the file in Blender .
then export to Blender in 3ds format is slightly smaller (around 40Mb) but all I get is
only the edges of the mesh; I do not understand where the problem ;in KT no problem and in fact I have the model already divided into three main objects namely branches, foliage, foliage and main secondary

Surface HI RES
anyone knows a plugin through which you can increase the polygons of a curved surface, for example if I have the lateral surface of a cylinder obtained by extruding a circle with a bit number of segments How do I increase that number of segments without having to shared by a circle with multiple numbers of segments?
thanks!! -

RE: Vue render
Nice render!!!the car is a very very realistic model but there is something to improve such us the roof and the asphalt ground; I think you need a very nice texture for the roof looking for at
http://www.cgtextures.com/
If you want I can post an example of mine about a roof rendered by kerkythea; I've improved the texture adding a procedural one to make a realistic effect. -
RE: Hughes H200 w.i.p.
Thanks!! the "bubble" is an elliptical line extruded along the curved section of cockpit!!

RE: Hughes H200 w.i.p.
Thanks!!!! the file now is 6.35MB and the second image was rendered by Kerkythea, metropolis for 30 minutes!

Hughes H200 w.i.p.
starting from a dwg of this copter....the first step is the cockpit, the most difficult portion oh this model......Sorry becouse this is my first attempt of modelling by SU..!!

RE: Photomatch
Pinky???
I don't see pinky color!! however this is a wip, the texture-copter is a procedural one and probably I changed it.......the question was another...

Photomatch
This is my first photomatch.....the shadow under the helicopter is almost real like the others; you can see in the SU-photomatch the shadow at starting whan was at the left of fuselage.so I have put an IES light at the centre og scene to get a more real shadow....
The scene was rendered by KT; metropolis for 45 minutes
