    • RE: Basic Texture Problem

I was able to reproduce both of these approaches. What a relief. Thank you.

Gai - I noticed that if I create a tile component (glue-to, cut-into) and then drag it onto the wall component face, I get the Z. But if I take the tile component from the library and place it onto the wall component face, it works fine.

Alan - I noticed that if I draw a tile on a wall component face, I get the Z. But if I draw a tile onto the wall face and then make everything a component, it works fine.

    • Basic Texture Problem

Newbie here - trying to inlay tiles into a masonry wall. No matter what I try, the texture of the tiles is distorted by the wall's texture. Put another way, the wall texture bleeds through. The distortion changes with perspective. Apparently it has something to do with multiple textures/colors in the same plane. But I've seen models with inlays or different textures that appear to be in the same plane. So how do users get around the distortion? Any and all help greatly appreciated.
