    • Map Zoom to Trackpoint-Style Pointer

Hello. I was hoping to do what it says in the subject: find a way to make my nub mouse zoom in a way similar to a scroll wheel on a mouse. I've recently started to use Sketchup on my laptop and I hate having to hit Z to switch to the zoom tool, double click with one mouse button on a point to zoom at, and then have to switch between that button and another to zoom and orbit. I'm used to maneuvering around very quickly with only orbit and scroll-wheel zoom. I'd love to have a button I could hold in conjunction with my middle-click button to make the trackpoint "nub" control zoom, so that one hand could use the nub and middle-click, while the other could hold a button to toggle the middle-click action from orbit to zoom.

I assume there isn't a way to do this, but I thought I'd ask here. It's annoying enough that I have to switch to "smooth" scrolling for it to work in Sketchup...I guess I'll start dragging a mouse around. Computer in question is a Lenovo, incidentally.

Maybe you need enable OSCoolean toolbar? If I recall right, OSCoolean toolbar is not automatically enabled.

Thanks for this, very excited. I just upgraded to 8 for this, but the plugin isn't showing up. Are there any dependencies or known conflicts that could be at fault?

My Sketchup 8 plugins folder only has the folders Oscar, Cadspan, JPP_Dir_15, LIBFREDO6_Dir_34, Ocean, TIGtools, TOS_Dir_16 plus Utilities, plus the rb files OSCoolean, deBabelizer, extrubeEdgesby(various things), jointpushpull, LibFredo6, LibTraductor, loop_subdiv, ocean_extension, su2stl, ZLoader_OnSurface and utilities, if that for some reason makes it obvious to anyone. I'm on 7 Pro.

Thank you very much, whether or not you can point out what's wrong!

Yeah, I downloaded and unzipped the folder and the file into Plugins several times. Mucho wierd.
