RE: Curve sauface bad looking after working on it.
dear Jeff
I have to say with my slow computer and 17 inches monitor and those text in each other, I didnt understand what was the process.(I noticed the clean intersect is not with a circular shape, will it be possible with a circular shape in your way?)
can I ask you to explain it here step by step to have a clean intersect?( do you have any idea about push pull or lines on curved surface when this thing happens?)
Thank you -
RE: Curve sauface bad looking after working on it.
Soften didnt work. and a view hidden line on here(i hope Ive got it right). is it because segments was low in the beginning? no plugin for softening this kind of surface(Its a bad news if artisan does coz I did use 15 trial and cant buy it)

RE: Curve sauface bad looking after working on it.
Dear Brodie
Well... here is with hidden geometry.
and after that one with round corner method( segments 60, offset= just where two hidden geometry after rounding meet).I tried triangle way and Hopefully If Ive done it right but not my solution. maybe rebuilding...
basically its not a absolute curve anymore and I really dont know why does it happen and as your post was clear about it, some times even after exploding and... it happens.I couldnt find my solution in that post although that was really expert discussion. I will still think about...
If any other solution occurred to you please inform me.
I appreciate your help

Curve sauface bad looking after working on it.
some times when you work on a curved surface it gets a little bad looking like the one Ive added.
I took segments 36.(Its relevant. right?)(is it high or low?)
and result after work wasnt good.
what is your solution if you cant go back and model again?

"Making of articles" needed?
Hello
Im looking for some "making of" articles or videos for sketch up. where can I find some of them?
Long time ago Pilou suggested this http://translate.google.fr/translate?hl=fr&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fixlrlxi.livejournal.com%2F113673.html%23cutid1.
it was really good. I was wondering if there is somekind of database for it?or some specific suggestion...
Sincerely A.A -
Dedication as a Thank you.
I thought with my self many people without any expectation in this forum are helping the others by making plugins and answering questions of newbies like me. and I asked my self what can I do? still a newbie to answer and without any knowledge and time to make plugins. so by dedicating this(maybe the first and last work) I want to say thank you to all of you which help us and has written great plugins. we really appreciate it.

RE: Somtime using round courners and scale or... it get ugly?
Dear Alan
i don think increasing scale for the xample ive added here would help because its really big...
It has occurred to me for bent surface it could happen more. as you can see here its a simple shape. first one is bent after rounding and the 2nd is rounded edges after bending.(what is your opinion?)
I was wondering if it is common and it has no way to heal... of course it could be fixed by new surfaces.
what is your suggestion for complex and dirty situation if you wanted to round edges?
thanks

Somtime using round courners and scale or... it get ugly?
Hello
sometimes when i use round corner plugin or fredo sclae or anything else even like drawing a line on a curved surface It get ugly and some of some of its surface will be gone with sharp edges... In this example first Ive scale and then bend it and rounding made this shape.
Is it natural? how to avoid this?Any solution?
thanks

RE: About making polylines!?
Thank you dear friends.
I would try your solution( I wanted to know the logically possible)
And ask if there was any other thing. -
RE: About making polylines!?
Dear Dave
imagine you want to use extrude edges by rails... so there shouldnt be group right?
an if you explode it its like nothing has happened!
What would you do.(imagine you want to use it as a path or profile or..)
And my English isnt that good so I didnt understand it:"I thought I got a whiff of Arjun." what does it mean?
thnx -
RE: About making polylines!?
Dear numbthumb
Actually Im getting though the question... And Im too tired to explain for you but if Ive Upset you Im sorry.
When I asked my friend how are forums he said: its a free space.. if you want answer if you dont so... if you want to ask if you dont want to....
Im sorry again -
About making polylines!?
Hello
Is there any way to make the curve in bottom a polyline.( when I use weld because
its in some separated segments it would not take action). Is it logically possible(without deleting the vertical lines)? If yes How?

RE: Extrude by curved vector!
I have asked about this problem and there was not any hope for a solution...
I tried many things but I think problem is bigger.
Thank you for your concern Dear TIG.I appreciate it -
RE: Extrude by curved vector!
Dear TIG
I dont know why did I call that an edge
Thank you for your solution. my problem in using other extrudes is sometimes path or profile is exploded.(I am confused why this happen to me and Ive asked and didnt get a good answer) so selecting them is so hard ... especially with my system which the action after selecting is 1 or 2 second later . -
Extrude by curved vector!
Is there somekind of extrude by curved vector( I dont know what else should I call it)Ive added a pic to explain more...(some times its hard for me to use other tools for my purpose)
