check script plug-in called extrusion tools and joint push pull
on the plugin section. can't remember creator just search.

Well, I downloaded and installed the plug-in that gives me 'joint push pull'. I select the arc, then choose joint push pull and I get the message 'you must select at least one face'. Very odd - I'm not sure I even understand the error message 😞

    • Super noob - simple question: how to extrude an arc

      Hello all -

I've done some reading and I can tell that this question has been asked before, and that there are lots of ways to do this kind of thing. My needs are so incredibly simple and my experience is so incredibly low πŸ˜„ that I am hoping to find the absolute simplest way!

I am making a simple design for an aquarium canopy that will fit onto a bowfront corner tank. So, I will need to create pieces of wood that are around 1 inch tall and 1 inch side with a curve around about 90 degrees. The idea of drawing a 2d shape and 'pulling' it into 3d is really amazing for someone like me who is new to this.

Unfortunately I can't just draw an arc and pull it. Can anyone recommend the simplest way to get that same effect, hopefully something newbie friendly?

Any advice much, much appreciated!! In the meantime I'll keep reading and playing with the tool. Very cool!
      thanks, Dave
