RE: Latest Kitchen
Here is the model if anyone is interetsed. It is a bit "dirty" with some stray lines etc and a few faces are a wee bit askew. I apologise as I have moved to a new machine and havent had the time to get all my plugins transfered across yet - they are on the long finger.
@stefanq. Yes you are right but that is what the client wanted - she is a very tall lady and when I pointed this out to her she said not to worry!! I said that its fine for her, maybe not for a guest who wants to help in the kitchen. I normally dont do this layout - two ovens in adjoining appliance housings is what I normally have for that reason alone. I had to doctor the door above to fit them all in. She loves it and that is the main thing.

RE: Latest Kitchen
I make most of the stuff except for the high gloss doors which I get from Italy. These doors are Wenge Veneer with a semi matt finish and the end panels are oak veneered MDF sprayed to match the doors (Client wouldnt stretch to wenge veneered end panels due to cost!). A "painter" did the cutting in - nothing to do with me. Its not finished yet - walls have to be painted, that is raw plaster you are looking at. Apparently the wall with the floating shelves will be painted a light purple colour!! Can't judge it till I see it finshed though I think it will ook okay - I offered to do a rendered image of the kitchen with a few variations for her but she turned it down!

I like it as well. Only thing I see is actually a design issue. You don't want your range next to a wall. May look nice but it won't work well (or make your building inspector very happy.) Otherwise I like it alot.
He is talking about your cooker / oven which you placed next to the wall - in most countries that would be considered a fire hazard due to naked flames next to walls.

Now thats what you call a workshop!!! If he is in that way of going he doesnt need me to tell him anything!

RE: Galley kitchen
That cupboard just looks so small to put your arm into at a depth of 2ft. Looks no wider than 6 inches - I dont do any tall cabinets smaller than 1ft (300mm) wide as they are just too small internally to be of any real use IMHO. Love the tile too, have used a few glass splashbacks recently with a coloured foil on the backside to really lift the design. Works very well in contemporary style jobs.

RE: Latest kitchen project
The island appliance is another oven (microwave)? I like the way you set up the scene for rendering the kitchen. I think the lines in the sketchy scenes could be doing with being a bit sharper to give a little more detail IMHO. Great modelling. I wish I had the skills to model this well. Well Done.

RE: Galley kitchen
Nice use of the limited space - i take it that the tall unit to the right is a broom cupboard / ironing board storage?

RE: Corner Cubby
I use Becker Acroma lacquers and stains for my work but they come in industrial size containers. You should be able to get a smaller jar for your project from some of the good painting and decorating business in Ennis or try the homevalue store, they should do it too.

RE: Look At Yourself After Watching THIS
@olishea - his name is Bob!!
Seriously though - that guy is truly awe inspiring - you should look into his other videos to see some of the stuff he has done - and he is so self depricating in his talks. He may have no arms and legs but he beats the sh1t out of most humans I have met in my life! -

Be prepared for major change in colour if you use cherry. The timber reacts incredibly quickly to UV light and darkens quite alot so if you are trying to tie the colour in with other pieces in the room you should be aware of it. Maybe use a UV resistant lacquer on the finish to prevent. Dont get me wrong - I love cherry, but it has a tendency to change colour rapidly. Can't wait to see the finished article.

Fredo
Not as yet but then again I am not as accomplished a modeller as these other guys and probably am not asking the plug in to do any thing too difficult. I use your Fredoscale plugin on a daily basis but rarely use the TOS one. I have tried to replicate the grey menu but have not been able to do so as yet. Sorry for the late reply.

Fredo / TIG
I was extracting to a different folder - just copied the files to the folder indicated by TIG and it works no problem. Thanks for a great plugin and super help for getting me going with it.

RE: [Plugin][$] Tools On Surface - v2.6a - 01 Apr 24
I have tried to get the TOS plug in to work and have unzippled and extracted it several times but I keep getting an error ,message (Error Loading File ZLoader_On Surface.rb uninitialized constant LibFredo6:: Traductor) I have already unzipped the latest version of Libfredo6 into the plugins directory too - anyone know what am I doing wrong?
