@Fredo you´re right. i must discconnect the polys from the main model before i can move along normal.

@driven i the attachement i have explain the result.. the distance i have set to 20cm for a better visualization.
the churches in the picture above have two windows glasses per windows. on for day and one for night.
the day mesh will fade to dark and the night mesh will fade lighter.
this simulate light behind the windows.

OK Sketchup is Sketchup and comparing with other 3d software could work.

before i can do normal move i must disconnect the polygons from the main object.
when i use negative value this work,too.
a multi_comp move isnt the right word.
all polygons have a normal. could be in sketchup,too.





JQL i can move the faces together in X+/X- and Y+/Y- ?

no not really. i must move the faces..for night mesh. the polygons have the same place, so this will flicker. i need a movement for all faces to the outside. less than 1mm

and will fade out at the day.

i have windows in all directions N/S/W/E
some other buildings have more than 100 windows in different directions.

Ok is an older thread however this is what i need however i would have a given name of material for the texture and don´t touch material this have textures.
the plugin give the noname Material Name and Texture Name

i would have this: Material Name and Texture Name (both the same)

this Material have a Texture

the Plugin change the name of the material, this i doesn´t want

A Ruby Coder have now solved this problem with a plugin. Could be the programer publish this plugin in the next time.

barkley klingt gut, die haben zur erklärung sogar ein video produziert.
alles für null euro..fragt sich der geneigte nutzer, wer bezahlt die "zeche".
nirgens steht dass ich auch in übersee bezahlen kann.
das ist ja mein problem.für die bewohner der "neuen welt" scheint plastic-geld doch noch wichtig zu sein.
auch wenn ich kein macianer mehr bin, ist das prinzip des appstores doch nicht so schlecht.
da kann man sogar software für den mac via paypal zahlen.
google, sketchup und trimble sind ja nicht so klein, dass sie das nicht auch so ünsetzen könnten. über den google appstore geht das doch auch fürs handy (mobile).
also der kontakt mit dem developer war kurz und schmerzhaft. wollen die nun geld verdienen oder nicht. oder wollen die nur ihre plugins in amerika absetzen?
wirklich kann ich es ja nicht glauben.
dem dev müsste es doch egal sein woher er das geld bekommt, so lange er nicht draufzahlen muss.
via paypal gibts ja auch die option, geld an freunde zu senden.
die welt ist kompliziert genug, der mensch macht sie noch komplizierter.
leider nutzt mein freundeskreis kein visa sonst hätte ich eben mal bargeld in die hand gedrückt und er kauft/bezahlt das plugin.

Im englischen forum habe ich bereits eine Frage gestartet, aber es könnte ja sein, dass einige hier in DE,A,CH LI dort nicht so oft lesen.
es sind im Sketchup Extension Warehouse nur Zahlungen per Visa usw. möglich.
Da ich eine Deadline habe bis Ende des nächsten Monats suche ich händeringend nach Lösungen.
Jeder Tag ohne Arbeit ist ein verlorener Tag.

i have seen the option paypal connect to an own visa card however not sending from PP to Visa etc.
i see we are living in different worlds
some trust only plastic money and other trust virtual money like PP, Prepaid etc.
prepaid is cool for kids ,too
i would love SEW would support prepaid.

why doesnt support trimble the payment via paypal?
i would pay some plugins, however only with CashCardPayment (Visa) etc., i can´t do this.
paypal is the best option for me. and i pay all software and other plugins via paypal.

Is it possible to pay plugins via Paypal in the Sketchup Extension Warehouse (SEW)?
every time when i try to purchase, i have only the paiment option via Card.
In Germany i can buy a Prepaid Visa Card for 36 EURO/Year.
Fo a plugin price of 18 Euro+Tax (19%) this will be very expansive.
Can anybody tell me a way, how i can pay with less costs?
my suggestion is a payment bridge (?)
I pay via paypal a product to the PluginStore Owner and the PluginStore Owner send the Money to the SEW.
I have contact the Plugin-Developer via Email. The answer was...
You could buy a Prepaid Cash Card (VISA etc.).
This can´t be really the solution.

Al sorry for my very late answer.
in the RAL Colorchart you have not a color with this Name and RGB value.

standard colors Like RAL, HKS, PANTONE etc. is based on the subtractive color scheme (body colors) when you have "RGB" (normally additive color scheme) and add al three together you have black as result.

the RGB Value is only an orientation and the name of the color is an orientation ,too. some peoples can memorize names better than digits or numbers and vice versa.
at (1) this name as image name, too in field (2)
actually the plugin doesn´t work with the last sketchup make, or i doing anithing wrong.

i have attache the skp file.. the object was created with eneroth extract material.
the color itself was created with a CSV-import-plugin.

i have seen that some RAL libs will be different.
the RAL obove based on RGB and ist from RAL.de itself.
i know all this is only an orientation important is the RAL-No.

in this simulator i can´t only simulate RAILWAY/RAILROAD..i could simulate others,too like Roman Lime, Berlin Wall and Inner German Border or what ever.
0.1.21 crash some times if i layout tracks.

i have try to seperate all parts in this building.
[Brick_Antique] in one group
roof in a secound group etc.
the problem is.. when i reimport the fbx or collada [Brick_Antique] and [Brick_Antique] copy
have different resolutions.
in a game i need a little bit shadows in the corners . the render engine doesnt provide shadows.
my fear is i must buy 3dmax and the flatiron plugin..to do this.
for freeware parts its to expansive

Adam (developer) have told me, i must split the buldings, to have better resolution.
when i save this as player version the resolution is like i want...however when i save this as collada or fbx the reimport is very bad.
i dont know the best solution..or i will misunderstand the workflow in lightup.
i dont want switch to 3dsmax, blender and other progs.
why an reimport.
now i have a special export plugin for Trainz (new name T:ANE Trainz a new era)
when i export to this game..all shadows will be lost
