If I were to build these pieces, I think I'd opt for the bandsaw route. That would certainly work for the seat slats, front and rear stringers, and the armrests on the Weatherend piece. However, for the crest rail on my benches, I might have to laminate a blank. Same goes for the circular piece at the top of the Weatherend back. There are commercial adhesives that will work for outdoor applications; I've never used them, though.

SubD and Vertex Tools were on sale today from SketchUcation. I bought both and will probably use them for the tufting. If I can learn how to use these plugins, that is. Stay tuned.

BTW, I did reshape the legs yesterday, so they're closer to the original. And I couldn't have done the model without two cool plugins: True Bend (for the backrest) and Fredo6's Radial Bending (for the seat).

It was way easier to start fresh than to try to fix the first model. I'm glad I did, because I like the appearance of the new arm/backrest better. I'm hopeful that the front and rear stretchers and the seat will be easy to add.

There were apparently four tornadoes that hit Connecticut on Tuesday. That's a very rare event, since this state isn't normally in hurricane territory.

The piece is 30 in. wide, 32-1/2 in. high, and 18 in. deep. And, yes, sugar chests were once common, when people bought the stuff in bulk.

A while back I came across plans for furniture that was designed for various state parks in Texas. Each park got it's own style of buildings and furniture to go in them. There were plans for beds to go into cabins that were designed to keep the snakes out.
