      library chair render.jpgJust finished a model of a Regency "metamorphic" library chair. The top section flips over, so the piece becomes a stepstool. According to info on the 1stdibs.com web site, the original was made in England, from mahogany, in about 1810. No joinery in the model--the reeding and the backrests were enough work for now. The image is a quick and dirty render in Shaderlight.

        Very cool.....I’ve seen some nesting types of furnishings, but never anything like this.
