Sorry if this is covered elsewhere - but I have looked at many tutorials and posts but nothing is covering my specific request.

I want to construct a patio cover - VERY SIMPLE design using 2x6, 4x4, etc. I cannot seem to get started. Can you point me to a tutorial that covers this?

I assume I would create the 2x6 "lumber" using rectangle, pullout, etc.
Maybe use the ruler to get the 2x6" dimms and 14ft long. And copy one 4x6 to make the 31 pieces that make up the current top contruction.

I am used to Visio and PunchPro which may be clouding my thinking.
