      Here's a screenshot of the TT_Lib2 folder (can't display it all as my screen isn't big enough)
      and I haven't got the folder inside another TT_Lib2 folder.

      The full file path is this:

      Unfortunately I get this error message when SU7 starts:

      "can't convert nil into StringError Loading File tt_quadface.rb
      can't convert nil into String"

      I don't know what this means so I can't use it.

      I had a look at the link and it says the utility is for SketchUp 8M2 or newer
      (i'm on SU v7 Mac)

      I did this and it works well, but with a lot to select it takes a long time ๐Ÿ˜ข

      I'm still looking into the QuadTools option and if I can't get them to work then I now have other ways to solve the problem.

      Hi. I've downloaded TT_Lib2 as I want to use QuadFaceTools_0.6.0 in SU7.
      Do I need to install the TT_Lib2 folder with all 50 items that are in the TT_Lib2 folder into the Plugins folder?

      One suggestion that intrigues me is from

      How do I redraw the face? I tried it by deleting the faces and edges, then selected the 4 edges and selected "Create Face" but got an error message and nothing happened.
      It would be good to learn how to do this then I can do it to the other problem areas of the mesh too.

    • How to convert problem to quad face?

      Hello,

      I have a problem with a model I imported into SketchUp (V7-free) and was wondering how I can fix it.
      Please see the attached image.

      All I want to do is to convert the circled faces into a single quad, as I have others on the model too which I can also do that to aswell.

      Thanks for trying Chris, and you aren't spamming as any info on this subject is very useful.
      I still don't know how to just export from Sketchup as .dae, as I'm using the free version.

      The trick i learnt (as I'm not using the Pro version of Sketchup) was to:

      1. export as Google Earth 4
      2. rename to "archivo.zip" and open the zip. Inside is a .dae file.

      I'm not a plugin creator myself but just wanted to know if a plugin existed already.
      It would be so useful as I would be able to go back and forth between SU and the other 3d apps.

      I know LightWave doesn't recognize 3DS max files (i'm on a Mac too so not able to use 3DS Max as it's PC only)
      Will have to see if Blender can do it, but i can't use Maya as I don't have it.
