    • RE: Draping on TIN - how to select drape line only?

Tig, your answer are so amazing, specially the once related with your work (plugins).
I've bookmarked all your post regarding with extrude thing, because is so dificult for us normal mind to follow the use of your plugin. They are so versatiles that we don't know how to use it or when (at lest me), but you are doing a good work "tigging" us your plugins. I barely give my answer but I give you my 👍

    • RE: Picking colours

I just change to Mac and had the sane problem, to pick a color use the magnifying glass just below to the color wheel icon (this is the first icon on the left of the 4 in the color window upper part)

David, attached is a PDF file containing the article The Drawing Board from the Urbanite magazine (June/2009, Issue No.60) in which you can see how people from Baltimore are inviting the community to give some ideas in a transit system project, by using Google Sketchup.

So far, I don’t know how the project is doing (I don’t live there) but you can get some ideas.

      The article here

    • RE: How to apply my terrain?

      @unknownuser said:

but how do I trim and fit the terrain snugly around the edges of my current geometry?

To trim the terrain grid into your garden area you could follow this steps:

      1. Using the perimeter lines from your model draw the garden area that will content the terrain. The terrain grid have to be bigger than the garden area.
      2. Group this new area.
      3. Select the terrain grid and activate the Drape Tool.
      4. Now click on the grouped face to drape the grid into it.
      5. You could delete the original grid.
      6. Now edit the group. Use the smoove tool to shape your garden area.

Justo, you can achieve what you want with the drape tool from sand box tools, watch the TIN_Planter file that you can download from SuWiki site

    • RE: What determines ability to change texture position?

Yes this happens to me, and I have realized that all the faces take the texture , including the internal faces, that they assume they must be back face.

Then another questions, if the back bace take texture, likes Nick's model, this affect the file size?

At least there are two Gremistas in this forum "TCHE!", I'm from El Salvador butI lived in Porto Alegre for 5 years (until 1981), and i admired the way the brazilian architects work with urban furniture, btw yours are really nice.
If you need texture for your cor-ten furniture visit this site http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/supodiumforum/vpost?id=1873412&highlight=steel
this is a PODIUM forum, there are a nice people helping each other to learn how to render with an easy plugin for SU, which you can download a trial version at this same website.
