I know its something that I switched by mistake, but I can't figure it out. I did it before a long time ago. Also, If I was to send this file to someone else, would this setting be included in the file?

I found and installed VisTools. I was mislead by your spelling of the name. The latest version in the thread is 1.3.4. Make sure that's what you downloaded and installed. Immediately above it in Dan's forum post is a file with a Korean translation only.
The toolbar for V1.3.4 is shown below. Yours appears to be out of date. And the re are shortcuts listed under Extensions.

Just tried it on my end with SU Pro 22.0.354 and all seems to be working.
What version of the plugin are you using? I'm using what I think is the latest at 1.3.4 on SU 2022. My Icons are different. I believe I had the toolbar you have before I upgraded the plugin. Are the VizTools commands showing in your shortcut Preferences> Shortcuts list of commands? If so, under what heading?

VizTools By Dan Rathburn?
I really need the Isolate command in Viztools, however it looks like the plugin is not longer supported. It is working in my SU 2022, but did not create a context menu, and the commands do not show up in the command list to make shortcuts. Any thoughts? I'd love to make shortcuts for the commands.
Is there another plugin with and isolate option.

2022 customizing toolbars. I don't have the options.
So just loaded SU 2022 on my new Win 11 install. I'm trying to get SU like I had it with my toolbar set up. SU help saus View > Toolbars > Customize. In SU 2022 View > Toolbars opens the toolbar box that has Reset, Reset All, New and grayed out Rename and Delete. No "customize." How do I customize my toolbars in SU2022.

Profile builder assembly repository?
Anyone know of a site or repository of Profile Builder assemblies? I know about the ones offered by mind.sight. I'm looking to see what others have produced. I've never used that feature of the plugin, but have a little time and would like to experiment with it.

CTRL Copy toogle not working in SU2021!
Very weird. Discovered it in a .skp file exported from Rhino. Move with CTRL toggle does not copy.I opened in SU2019, and the same process works as expected. Copies are made. I though it might be a problem with the export, but I've discovered starting a new file in 2021 the problem remains. Selecting an object > move then the CTRL toggle does not copy the object.

RE: No Thumbnails in Explorer. Any fixes for 2021
@dave r said:
First thing I would do is make sure you have the current version of 2021 installed correctly. Download it from https://sketchup.com/download/all The right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator. After installation, restart the computer and see what you see. If that doesn't sort it we'll move on to the next step.
Thanks for the response.
Done. Still no go. "No Preview Available" in Explorer. I get previews of most other things including Rhino.3dm and AC .dwg.I have SU 2019 and 2020 still on the machine. Could this be a problem?

No Thumbnails in Explorer. Any fixes for 2021
This has happened before, but I forgot how to fix it. A search brigs up answers from 10 years ago. Any fixes that don't require reinstalling SU and all my plugins again?

RE: File thumbnails for 2021 don't show in Explorer.
Thanks for the info. I set up everything, plugins, toolbars, etc., and I'm a in the middle of a major project. At this point I'm not going to risk repairs/reinstalls/regedit, on the chance that there may be a problem and I might have to redo them.

File thumbnails for 2021 don't show in Explorer.
I just updated to SU2021. Working with it today, I just noticed that files don't show thumbnail images. However, files from previous versions show a thumbnail, and saving a file from 2021 to an earlier version 2020, 2017, etc gives a thumbnail in Explorer. Anyone else having this problem?

I have perpetual license. How to get the promotion?
I am still completely confused. I have a Perpetual license for 2020. I've got a promotion email from Trimble that says:
As our M&S program comes to an end, you’ve got two options:
• Get the first two years of a SketchUp Pro Subscription for just $240 (a $358 savings!) and access every feature update past, present, and future.
• Update your current perpetual license before November 4 to access SketchUp Pro 2021 when it’s released. However, the I can find no way to access that promotion of $240. The "subscribe" button take me to a page with the full charge for two years. The is no code or additional info provided. anyone know about this?

Perpetual license
I am being barraged with "subscribe now" emails. I have a perpetual license SU 2020. The emails are confusilg.
e.g. "Update your current perpetual license before November 4 to access SketchUp Pro 2021 when it’s released." Update what? To subscription?
Following another link it says "If you migrate your classic license, you will be able to use your current version of SketchUp Pro Classic in perpetuity. Do this mean not migrating will eventually disable my 2020?

Set .skp default application?
I have both 2019 and 2020 0n my machine. However, double-clicking on a .skp file tries to open it in 2019. I tried setting to 202 through the properties but no go. What is the correct way to set 2020 as the .skp default application?

Does a subscription disable older versions?
A colleague of mine had a SU 2018 and then later got a Subscription to 2019. The pandemic shut down our industry for the past 8 months and her subscription expired. I just sent her a file saved in 2018 format but she says it won't open. Suggestions.

SU 2020 and JF Toolbars plugin?
I'm finally migrating to SU2020 In my previous versions I used JF Toolbars to create custom toolbars. I can't find that plugin, and wonder if in 2020 SU might give one builtin access to the tools JF T does?

Hi All,
I am not a frequent poster but I do browse through the forum regularly to see what's new and to trouble shoot any issues I am having. I have noticed as I am sure most of you on the forum have that there is nowhere near the interest or questions asked on the here as there were prior to the release of SKP 2019. I would be interested to hear from members their thoughts on what has happened. Have people become dis-heartened with the progress of SKP and switched to another programme or lost interest or both?
For me, I felt my enthusiasm for SKP start waning after the release of 2019 even though SKP is the cornerstone of what I do. In the past 2 years I have gone through phases of giving up skp all together and joining the revit crowds and realising this is too hard and then going back to skp. Over the past 2 years I have trailed Revit, Archicad, Autocad architecture, Bricscad BIM to various degrees but found myself always comparing them to skp. Like the component families in revit for 2D detailing, Layout and the scrapbook are easier, quicker and I think the result is better and more legible 2d details. So I guess I am in a position where I hate to love skp.
I own a Revit 2019 licence and have been playing with it on and off but I cant help thinking that my productivity will half if I start using it.
So where are people heading with skp, are they sticking with it or are they looking to migrate to another programme in the not too distant future?
Stan
I moved to Rhino seriously the day SU went subscription and sent the ridiculous promotion of the "new" Sketchup who's main new feature was three ways to pay for it. I used SU from version 4, was a SU evangelist, and taught it to many people. That is ended. I will keep the last perpetual license on my computer for the sake of interacting with colleagues. But there is no going back from Rhino.
p.s. If only MindSightStudios' Profile Builder 3 was available for Rhino it would be perfection.
