      but whats odd is.. when i import a 3ds it imports farily quick... it just wont load the texture 😞 thats my only hurdle!! lol ugh this 3d stuff can be a pain!

      don't use 3DS. use OBJ. then use the Ruby I linked you to.
      3DS export from poser is not that good. plus posers native model format is OBJ anyway!

      Hmm i tried to use the OBJ importer BUT the file takes forever to import AND when it does it doesnt come in completely... maybe i could go from poser to another program then use that to import OBJ?

      the work flow i have now is DAZ to poser.. then poser .3ds to SU because when u go from DAZ it makes it into one big piece BUT it dosnt load the texture.. i try to load the texture and it shows on the model as thousands of tiny polygons get the texture even afteri smooth it out in SU so i have anicely formed manniquen which doesnt slow down SU but i cant textureize it 😞

      is there a way to auto simplify the polygons in SU maybe?

      Ok I am a total n00b and this has been KILLING ME!! I know how to use poser enough to pose people or DAZ is pretty easy to pose BUT i have not had ANY LUCK importing .3ds files even with the textures in the same folder as the 3ds file. the problem is the figure looks like a polygon machine person not all smoothed out AND the texture is on every single polygon.

      Now when I look up "female" or "male" in the google 3D warehouse I see these perfect low poly count 3d models from iClone and Antics has anyone been successful exporting models from these programs and have it open in sketchup easily?

      Ive tried soo many different ways ive even tried to export from blender but still no luck.

      SOOO does anyone have an easy work flow to get a model with texture in tact to google sketchUP 7.1 thanks!
