Is there a way to access the 'Volume" of the 'Element Info'?

I've been looking for an answer to this issue, and this post is as close as I could get. How can I show the volume of a component in the Component Attributes window? It seems to be available in Attribute Reporting and in the Entity Info window, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get it to the CA window. Once I have the volume, I hope to calculate a cost for that volume. I have the cost per a determined UOM and can figure out how to convert it. Thanks

SU is great, but cannot handle complex models with trees etc

Just got informed by mail about your response- the thread is almost two yrs old But thanks for your workflow- actually it would be nice if it wouldn't disappear somewhere as it is a good how-to. There are some more ways to handle larger scenes or objects with high poly count: using layers using ghost-components plugin But loading / replacing components from single files is definitely good- building up some kind of library for future use is surely beneficial.
