Hi mgordon
Sorry, I was wrong and sorry that I forgot. But when I updated to SU 5 I had to update to Tiger too.

RE: Geological survey of the Earth
There is an enormous geo-info treasure hidden behind this link. Instead of doing my work I just got lost in two hours browsing time.
Thanks for the link.

RE: Naming Layers [Architectural use generally...]
Hi all,
thanks for your explications and addition; it's OK now.
A special thankyou goes to utiler! Please excuse me for the expression vaporfile, I'm sorry!Bert

RE: Naming Layers [Architectural use generally...]
Thanks Gaieus …
… for checking utilers layers_setup.skp file. It seems that I missed nothing in being unable to open it – probably just a vapor file.
At the moment my Mac and my brain are working OK so I don't need further advice on using layers or opening files. I was just curious to see how others organize there workflow.

RE: Naming Layers [Architectural use generally...]
Hi
Maybe I'm the only MacIntosher who has problems to download >utilers< layers sets.skp file.
Or are there any others ? Is there any help ?
It's my first and until now the only downloaded skp-file making difficulties by opening. Thanks

RE: Is the forum faster?
Yes indeed, a very significant increase in speed. But on the same date as SKF changed the server I changed the browser. Instead of Navigator I use now Camino. I guess, both operation together are responsible for the speed increase.

RE: Workflow - best way to use Sketchup > Illustrator > Indesign
Jorgensen,
There are possibilities to go the way as you intend, kmead mentions and Anssi and I use it from time to time. But f o r g e t i t ; there is no given best workflow. Transforming sketchup objects to those in Adobe Illustrator is too accidental. Even simplest objects need a time consuming brush up as Anssi describes. For you it might easier, quicker and more reliable to choose the pixel way to Adobe Indesign.
