Been Furnishing the Lower Deck, the Hammocks will be seperate from the model and will swing with the boat, like the lanterns and the Leather Firebuckets do. Last pic shows the Junior Officers Cabin

Thanks Guys, @ Armstrong , to build a ship you will need abit more than what is provided on that site, for this ship I have over 100 seperate Drawings. the Less drawings ,the more guesswork
and yes my cousin has been trying to get me to import my mods into the Pirates of the Carribbean game for some time now, But Vehicle simulator Framework just looks so much better, even though it doesnt support Ropes or moving sails, its far more realistic.
The Rigging isnt really poly heavy, its the guns that are the killer, they are around 30k and right now im getting 40fps in open sea so im happy
Gundeck at Quarters complete and in game, Windows done along with Stern Windows that can be opened and Closed.

Thanks Guys, irwanwr I know just the set of plans you need, ill look for them as soon as I get back next year.
Added Some furnishings to the Gun deck, did some renders and switched the pc off, Goodbye 2011 have a great one guys!

Well Ive found most of mine online, and a few others Ive found and scanned original drawings ( more recent ships ) at museums and clubs. Hobby kits usually have good drawings as well.
A Sloop like this perhaps?

Flags and Figurehead added, the figurehead needs some work, but ill get that done soon, at least the exterior was finnished this year

Great, well find something you like and we can take it from there.
Launches are complete and fully functioning, Masts and rigging can be removed, Last pic shows how they can be removed from the ship as well.

Thanks irwanwr, I think I did ages ago but I cant remember, are you needing some help?
Added the Furled sails and Fixed some more textures, Found out that the Upper Deadeyes where "accidently" Deleted 2 weeks ago, Lucky I have a different version saved everyday so I could go and find them

More work on the Textures, The exterior is pretty much ready apart from the figurehead and the gunport textures, struggeling to get the same Yellow.
Dropped the Exterior AO by 20% as the ship did look abit Dark in game.
Still have to hang the Lanterns and Firebuckets, along with making the Furled sails.

Some props from Below Decks, Each Item has its own UV maps and Textures.

Thanks, Sure Irwanwr copy away
, nice to see that pic, spent many hours on that game
Baking these textures is a long process, Ive now Baked over 23 Texture AO maps along with the 23 Texture maps, some AO maps can take over 2 hours, and with a 22 hour power out yesterday it really doesnt help, here a few in game screenies:

Sails and Rudder fitted, Still no extra baking done, but its coming soon.

Thanks Unigami, these ships where designed starting from the guns, the deck height was designed only to fit the guns and make them workable, hence why they ceiling is so low, the rest comes after the guns. I believe that the 2 aft guns where stowed up against the port as to make more space in the effected cabins, those being the Captains bed chamber, The Coach room and the Great Cabin.
Completed texturing inside, still need to map and texture the walls in max and Gimp. Interior altogether is 52k Poly`s

The top pic shows only the Lantern Lights at night, next pic shows with Daylight.

Thanks guys, I guess those sails are abit reflective, Ill try get them to behave abit in game.
Haha hey compare my shots to some of the HSM Surprise photo`s...theres still a long way to go!
Im using 3ds max to render, post production? lol straight from max.
The Sim is Vehicle Sim Framework, does any type of moving vehicle, well almost
Did much work on the interiors over the last 2 days, Textureing, Refitting, and modeling extras. Looking for books right now that depict the furnishings of any of these frigates or period ships in general, pretty hard to find.

Added Most of the sails, Will be adding more Staysails even though the sim does not support more than 6 sails, Will also have different sail setups for different weather conditions. New Helm added along with Cannon maps

Haha as if! wouldnt mind taking on a first rate for a project but man theres alot of detail on those ships. Maybe ill give the bottle a try when shes ready
Added many more lines and coiled ropes, Launches are mapped and seperated from the main mesh , will soon be ready to sail them both.

Haha well after making a number of these ships before you might find you start getting into routine, and the well laid out plans really help.
Having Fun with the Texturing
The Scrollwork is coming along slowly as expected. Main hull texture is still only in basic stages.

Thanks irwanwr!
More texturing done, Still have Much to do on the Hull texture, The deadeyes will be black, and im thinking of making a new wheel is im not happy with the current one. My Pc Die`ing yesterday didnt really help things either, had to reinstall everything on another pc, Lucky I didnt Loose any Data.

Mapped the hull and added some basic textures, the masts will still change and im not 100% sure about the Blue Strake, I think I prefer it to be Black as the later frigates had it, mainly using HMS Surprise replica for referance to colours. Oh and the Stove is in

Haha Thanks Unigami, Not sure about that but If I do get to characters etc. Ill concider some Rats in the Breadroom
Started some texturing, The yellow on the hull is temp as it will be Properly UV mapped soon, and here are some 1st person views from Below:

Haha Thanks Guys, Sails will come shortly but I will be using the Cloth in 3ds max for them, well I think anyway
Chain Pumps and Common Pumps added, here are some X-Ray views showing the positions.
