Another Low-poly model

I'm curious... something about the scale of this seems off to me. As a whole I see this tower as being quite tall, but when I break down the "sections", then not so much. What is your header height for the door? and how tall would that make each of the "3" sections of the base of the tower?
Sorry, i have put this on the yahoo translator and it dont understand anything
but the scale is correct.
The door is a normal door ~2 meters height
thanks to both in any case

hi artysmedia
Your works are getting very interesting. the style of the textures are really cool
The style is one of SketchUp
@unknownuser said:
the wood textures repeating themselves a lot in the top part of the model.
No problem with that because it is of straw and it will cover everything. The texture only is for giving color him. You will see it in final render...
@unknownuser said:
try making a displacement of normal map for it
I prefer not to put disp maps because then my renders go too slowly

Keep them coming
Thanks, David!

you could have an elaborate system of pulleys which opeates it from the top of the tower. a la heath robinson!
Ohhhh, i didnt know who was Heath Robinson, tanks for the idea!
He had a lot of good ideas that i can make in 3d!

Very nice..i like it,but souldn t the door lock from inside?
Yeah, it is more logic
, but if i put out the door lock it result in a less interesting model...
Thanks!
Some soldiers will watch the arrival of the enemy armies...

what's your job in 3D or what was the purpose of these models?
I have an academy and a lot of free time.
The medieval buildings are to make a city.
The palaces to make a futuristc giant poster.
I am not in a hurry to finish them, so I go little by little...
Thanks, David!

Very nice model
Thanks!

Medieval stuff is what I'm modeling too
Where can see your models?
@prisoner said:
What makes me a bit dizzy here is looking at the right side of the building, with the small windows. Maybe its just me, but I thinks it looks like beeing of a totally different scale than the front and reference guy.
The windows are small because it is a barn and farmers dont wants that the sun enters through the windows...
I thought that i had lost this building (a medieval tower) that had realised in Sketchup, but luckily I have found it.

I'm sure you see this but subtle change idea....the knot holes are all lining up....your front facia looks like it is made of short boards as there are to many seams showing.
Well Modelhead! I see what you say about the holes. The texture of the wood is 1806x269 pixels made with Photoshop and the original had the holes aligned. Some times nature makes things aligned!
But yeah maybe it should be better to change it...
Thanks to all you!
