Making the form of the helicopter was easy with a little bit of trial and error too. First step, i probably should have shown it. I trace the helicopter from the bottom and side. Then i extrude both (bottom and side to meet each other) and then i intersect it with each other. And then just cut off the parts i dont need.
Thnaks for the explanation. Maybe i'll try it later, but i dont like a lot making transport units!

RE: My once Projekt
It is a good first model, Patrick!
I think you may put more details in the model.
Try to use groups and create components
You must try to use real measures so that you feels the model more correct
Search better texturesGo on!

Some of them may fit well in a very ambitious projects to design the city of Ank-Morphork, of Discworld (Mundo disco), the novels of Terry Prattchet.
Oh, my first idea was to make a medieval city with my models (like this http://solosplace.com/otherstyles.aspx, but now i dont have time! Maybe this winter...

i think that the shadow is too hard! Make it softer! Grat work indeed.
I make ever a try at night of my scenes (to see how to ameliorate the lights); it was not a "serious" render...
Thanks!

By the way, the romans with toga, are 3D models?
No, they are all planes! The 3d people like the decurions have too much polys. The scene has now more than six millions of polygons and it is a lot for my little notebook...

RE: Reconstruction of the Colosseum
I think it is a great model.
is a pity that you have not put some sculptures and animated a little the scene with some people.
How many polygons have it?
P.D.: I also receive few commentaries (i think so
). We must to continue creating interesting models and already the commentaries will arrive...P.D.: Thanks for all your comments
