    • RE: Plugin Loading Problem on Mac

      Thanks Mike.
Well I did find a few that made it in, I was only looking at the plug ins menu. I didn't even think to look at draw or tools. etc.. so I do have a bezier curve yay!
I even got soap skin bubble to work. I'm still having issues with curviloft though. I got the libfredo to work which it wouldn't before. It's possible sketchup was open when i downloaded it and thought restarting it was enough but I guess order of operations counts in this one. but no matter what i do, curviloft just wont load.
Wait! I just got it. 8th times the charm.
      Thanks for all your help!

    • Plugin Loading Problem on Mac

      Hi,
I've been using sketchup here and there for a while but because of my current project I have just discovered plugins. I know, what took me so long?
Anyway, I download them and put them in the right spot, macintoshhd-blah blah blah sketchup8-skectchup-plugins.
When i restart skechup some of the ones i dowloaded work great. some don't show up at all. So I went to preferences, to download extensions. they are all there but greyed out so I can't choose them. Even the ones that actually work can't be selected but I guess that kinda makes sense since the single file .rb 's don't really need that extra step. But I can't get a ton of plugins to work.
Is it a mac thing? Maybe those particular plugins aren't made for macs and therefore will never work?
I'm not sure. There's a ton of stuff I really want to play with. I'm trying to make a three dimensional rendering of a sculpture installation for an upcoming show. Lots of curves and organic shapes. I couldn't even get the bezier curve ruby to work. I did get curve maker to work but the spline curve is tricky at best so if you have any tips on that one i'd also appreciate it. Or another ruby to make curvy shapes. I really wanted CurviLoft or Soap Skin Bubble to work too, but they're a no go so far.
I even restarted my computer. I did everything I can think of but so far no luck.
      Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks!
