Brilliant!, the model is workable now. I'll keep you posted about the success / failure of 'reloading' the model in the original scene. Then exporting to Google.
Thanks.

HI,
I have imported a .dae into Sketch UP from Microstation. The model is spatial located miles away from the origin... Viewing it is an issue.
I have tried to clean up the model with groups and components.
The models all appear transparent and there are occasional screen artifacts. Similar to the issue between perspective and parallel projection.
I have tried both camera alternatives and still the material (which has 100 opacity) is transparent.
Help!
I am trying to preserve the coordinates so the model can end up back in Google Earth.
Hi,
I keep getting this error when trying to upload a model to Google Earth.
"Warning: Vertec array in geometry triangles:Materals2:63150 has more than 64K vertices."
It is only happening for the particular model shown in the image below. Others similar to this one are importing fine.
I read this topic earlier on the message board but there were few responses.
I tried using cleanup plugin by ThomThom thinking this may be a polycount issue but still no luck.
any ideas?
The .skp model:
The result in Google:
bump same issue here.
Tried using the cleanup plugin from ThomThom, thinking it may be due to the complexity of the model.
It really is not that complicated, Just some lattice work for a steel structure.
Other models with similar geometry have come in without the error report.
What is this attributed to. Texture, polycount or some other miscellaneous sketch up fail.
bring on revision 9.
Bring back the old way of getting places from Google Earth. (from the Earth UI) it was easier to navigate to locations that are out bush and not
on a road.
