Wow, I stink. Couldn't get past level 2 until the fourth try , then I got to level 5. Yeah, still young and not familiar with planet earth.

RE: SketchUp Junior Forums beta test
Hmmm, everything you said is absolutely correct when put to the right age range. My suggestion is to Not put the high schoolers off by themselves. An age range of 5-13 would make sense and youth of that age generally don't get into much trouble.

RE: SketchUp Junior Forums beta test
Hey, I am within that age range and I am probably the type of person that would be going to this forum. But I personally do not really want this type of forum. If I am to excel with sketchup and architecture, I need adults, people with experience in their field to be helping me. This Idea of putting the youth in their own corner and letting them learn everything on their own only leads to them goofing off and not learning anything, I know this by experience. Yes, you are putting a moderator on this and controlling the influx of members, but personally, I am still not going to use this new forum.

RE: A Fun Little Game, Continued...
Granted, paging is where you're a type of errand boy for the government, and Olimpia is the capitol of Washington, USA, not to be mistaken for Washington D.C. But now you are telling everyone that you know and are annoying them so much that society rejects you.
I wish that explorer wouldn't crash upon booting.

RE: A Fun Little Game, Continued...
Granted, but you slept in until 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.
I wish to have a great time paging in Olimpia next month.

RE: Frickin huge pavilion
That looks freakin familiar! just remove the buildings and shrink it a row of tables and I've seen that at a park before.

RE: Building a cannon
Showing hidden geometry and turning on transparency will reveal all secrets of the cannon.

RE: Building a cannon
Check out this cannon that I made. It's self moving and quite realistic. Different reloading mechanism, hope it's intuitive.

RE: A Fun Little Game, Continued...
Granted, you now need to hand copy a twenty page report and have to take two weeks to do it.
I wish that I could be here on this forum more often.

RE: Where's the Catchup Newsletter?
Wow, just finally finished eh? Well I do think I'm back temporarily, I leave to our states capitol Olimpia, Washington on March 2nd for a week as a page.

Where's the Catchup Newsletter?
I've been gone for a while and am hopefully coming back pretty soon. But I have absolutely no idea what's been going on. I would very much appreciate another Catchup edition.

When it came time for Bob to leave, he noticed the screen saver...

RE: Fun little game: Part Deux (Oct 10, 2007)
Tim then calmly explained that it would be easy to finish by tomorrow morning, he should be done in about an hour. His bosses face then reddens, he shouts "How dare you contradict me!" and storms out of the room.

RE: Do we have a Joke Thread goin here?
J1mmy, I didn't see the edited post but is seems that you have made one assumption, and I am glad that you posted it as a question so as to rebut it easily.
@unknownuser said:Are'nt we all adults?
The answer to that question is NO.

RE: Pavilion project renderings
Wow, just darken the atmosphere in the "under oculus" picture and it would be extremely like Myst! I would know because I've owned it.

RE: I had a visitor yesterday
Oli, I think I have some advise for you.
- Make each floor on a different layer, this will greatly simplify modeling.
- Make sure that all the lines that you draw are Exactly on the axis that you want them on.
- Occasionally check to make sure that faces that should be coplanar are coplanar.
- Always remember computer modeling is mathematical, if you want clean efficient models they must be mathematically correct.
I made this model when I was 13 and I am now 14, so I'm almost as young as you. The roof on that house took me a looong time to fix a 0.1 degree mess up that I made while I was not paying attention.
I'd love to see some more models of yours, and possibly some clean ones once you become a more experienced modeler.

RE: Remote Assault Tank
You need to render that cool rat in a war scene, and maybe a sewer one too.

RE: Membership growing rapidly...
I love the Idea, let's do it, there probably wont be all 999 other users able to participate (I wont unless it's within the next 16 or so hours) so the 200 limit might actually make it seem more impressive to the lucky person receiving them all.

RE: Membership growing rapidly...
Ok, I may have been incorrect, it now seems to have less than 3 days to go. So if we are going to do something we had better do it fast. How about changing the look of the forums for a day or so?
