It works ok with the make component, but then i get the lines between each component. But this atleast does not do anything with the filesize. thanks

I used 38 segments on the circle, that way i could draw each "hole" on the surface of the segment. Maybe that was a difficult way, but was the sollution i found. But come to think of it, I used 38 segments on the "holes" too .

Hi. I am rather new in using SU, and having some problems with filesize when perforating a pipe/tube.

I have done the cutting as it is described in tut, (explode, trim and regroup) and made one section of the pipe containing 38 holes. The problem comes when I copy this group multiple times, and make a perforated pipe/tube. The filesize becomes huge.
Have tried a few times to redo the whole process with explode, trim and regroup, with bigger sections of the pipe, but I get same result.
Is there a way to perforate a plate, and then fold it into a pipe?
